As Christmas Day arrives, we recognise that this season looks different for everyone. For some, it is filled with joy and celebration; for others, it may be quieter, tender, or touched by remembrance. Wherever this day finds you, please know that your feelings are valid and honored.

From the William Farmer team, we wish you a Christmas filled with peace, gentle moments, and the comfort of love, whether found in family, memories, or quiet reflection. May today bring warmth to your heart and hope for the days ahead. 🎄🤍

At many Christmas tables this year, there is an empty chair, a quiet reminder of someone dearly loved and deeply missed. Their absence may feel especially heavy during moments once shared, traditions once kept, and laughter once heard.

If you are missing someone this Christmas, please know you are not alone. Love does not end, even when presence changes. The memories you carry, the stories you share, and the love that remains are powerful and enduring. You may find comfort in lighting a candle in their honor, setting aside a moment to share a favorite memory, or continuing a tradition they once cherished.

As you move through this season, allow yourself grace. Grief has no timeline, and remembering can take many forms; quiet reflection, conversation with loved ones, or simply holding them in your heart.

We hold space for you and your grief this season. May you find comfort in remembering, strength in love, and peace in knowing that those we cherish are always a part of us.

The Christmas season can hold many emotions at once. While it is often filled with lights, traditions, and togetherness, it can also gently remind us of those who are no longer physically here to share in the moments. For many families, this time of year brings reflection, longing, and a deep sense of remembrance.

Last Tuesday, we gathered for our annual Christmas Memorial Service, a special time to pause, remember, and honor the lives of those who are forever held in our hearts. Together, we shared quiet reflection and the understanding that it is okay to feel both love and loss side by side.

From all of us at William Farmer, thank you for allowing us to walk alongside you and for trusting us with such meaningful moments. May the love you shared continue to bring comfort, and may the memories you hold be a source of peace this season and always.

Recently, we gathered to honour and remember a respected member of our community, Peter Millar, whose life was devoted to nurturing and shaping the lives of others. As an educator, he leaves behind a legacy not only of knowledge, but of kindness, guidance, and countless moments that helped students feel seen and supported.

The Memorial Service at Waratah Function Venue reflected who Peter was, thoughtful, dedicated, and deeply valued by those around him. Surrounded by family, friends, and former colleagues and students from Lightning Reef, it was a farewell filled with gratitude, reflection, and shared memories of the impact he had both inside and beyond the classroom. Peter's family formed a guard of honour at the conclusion of the service, holding Peter's belongings and symbols of his life.

We are honored to have supported Peter’s loved ones during this meaningful farewell and thank them for entrusting us with such an important tribute to a life well lived.
