🩸 Donating blood is one of the easiest ways to make a real impact - saving lives, supporting hospitals, and helping communities when it matters most. In 2025 alone, 1,069,721 litres of blood were donated for Australian patients.

And while the impact is the main thing, the post‑donation refreshments don’t hurt. Last year, donors enjoyed 1,095,376 party pies and 1,054,712 sausage rolls (including veg and vegan options), showing just how close the favourites really are.

Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month 💙

Ovarian cancer can be difficult to detect early, which is why awareness matters. Knowing the signs and seeking medical advice when something doesn’t feel right can make a real difference.

Ultrasound is often one of the first tests used to investigate symptoms like ongoing bloating, pelvic or abdominal pain, or changes in urinary habits. It’s a safe, non-invasive way to help guide next steps.

At Bendigo Radiology, our experienced sonographers support women’s health with compassionate, high-quality ultrasound care close to home. This month, we stand with those affected and encourage early conversations and assessment.
