headspace Work & Study month continues to be a busy time! 📒💁💁💚
This week Lara and Dean were up at @ for the Latrobe Rural Health Jobs Expo.
A massive thank you to the crew at Latrobe Rural Health School and Workforce Australia Local Jobs Program for coordinating such a magnificent event. 👏👏👏
There were many exhibitors there including our friends from Bendigo Community Health Services .
We had many discussions about the services we offer and career pathways into our industry. We are lucky to have good connections with Latrobe University and we thank everyone involved for their efforts on the day.

We look forward to attending next time! For more info on headspace work and study services https://headspace.org.au/services/work-and-study-support/

This Sunday we will come together for the SPAN Walk at the Dai Gum San to walk together with our community to remember the lives lost to su***de. 🪶💙
This year there will be a strong focus on youth engagement with our first youth Ute show inspired by Jett Hird and the founders of the Boort Ute show.🛻🛻

Last year at the Boort Ute show we met Patrick who was awarded the SPAN Heart and Sole award for the best Ute. Wait to you meet Patrick and see his Ute. He is passionate about youth mental health and takes pride in showing his Ute as it reflects the hard work and dedication of having a dream and living it. Patrick has been the key driver to make our Ute show happen bringing everyone together to make a difference.🏁🛻
Jett Hird will be there as a member of the Boort Ute show committee who inspired our event to create awareness for youth mental health and seeking support when you need it after the loss of their mate to su***de.💙💙

There will be a special place for the Ute owned by Brock who won the people’s choice award last year at the Boort Ute show. Brock’s family will show his Ute in memory of Brock who sadly passed away recently. Brock would have attended the event, but his memory will be with us on the day along with his loved ones standing strong beside his beloved Ute. ❤️❤️

The Utes will be on display in the McCrae St car park off Farmers Lane near the Dai Gum San from 10am onwards.
Come on down, show your support, check out the Utes and meet some amazing young people with the same passion.
There will also be a prize for the Ute with the most “Heart and Sole” proudly sponsored by the SPAN committee and headspace Bendigo

If you would like to enter the Ute show, we have only have a few spots available. Please call Haylee Kennedy on 0418648233 to confirm details.

headspace Work and Study month is underway, we are pleased to welcome Sam from , who will be with us one day a week providing vocational support to young people. 🤝🤝👏👏

We are excited to have Sam working alongside us. Welcome Sam 🙏

Hi! I’m Sam and I work as a Youth Consultant with Axis Employment. I have recently teamed up with headspace Bendigo to promote jobs and study pathways for young people. My favourite part of what I do is helping young people learn about who they want to be and setting goals on how they can achieve this. When I’m not at work you will likely find me reading, going to music festivals or op shopping! 📖🎶👗

Welcome aboard Sam! We are looking forward to working together. 💚💚💚

Celebrating work and study month at headspace Bendigo. 💚💚💚
As we continue to celebrate headspace Work & Study month, we would like to take this opportunity to recognise the achievements of Max. With support of the headspace team, Max was successful in obtaining a position at Golden City Support Services as a Disability Support Worker. 🙌🙌🙌

“I have been accessing headspace services since August 2024. They have helped me to combat my anxiety, be proud of myself, and to move forward with my life. A good part of that help came from the Work and Study Program. Since May 2025 the headspace Work and Study Program supported me. They helped identify the area I wanted to work in and worked quite hard to assist me in getting the right kind of job for me. 💁‍♂️💁‍♂️
“Work has been great. All my coworkers have been helpful, and the work environment is friendly. The satisfaction from supporting individuals has made work enjoyable. 🙏🙏

The Work and Study Program is also what lead me to becoming a Youth Ambassador at headspace Bendigo, to help give back to a place that has given me so much. 💚💚

None of this would be possible without all the support I have been given. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart”

A big shout out to Golden City Support Services for providing Max with this opportunity who report that Max has started his career positively showing initiative, encouragement, and professionalism. 👏👏👏🤝
The headspace Work & Study Program is about making a difference to the lives of young people. Well done Max. Keep up the great work!
