Celebrating world Health Day with our lead agency Bendigo Community Health Services 💚🩵

Community need drives all that we do here at BCHS.

Today on World Health Day we recognise our 250+ team of experienced healthcare professionals. We are proud of their knowledge, understanding and commitment to deliver the services, programs and care that our community deserves.

Healthcare isn’t just about a diagnosis and treatment. It’s about feeling supported, informed and knowing that you have a say in your care.

“It’s our connection to each other that creates impact and breaks down barriers so that everyone can have the same access to healthcare,” says BCHS CEO Mandy Hutchinson. “Today, and every day, no matter who you are, where you live or how much you earn, we are here for you.”

Recently our team came together to support the ***de Prevention Awareness Network - Central Victoria annual SPAN walk. 💚💙🩵💚
The walk gives community members a chance to remember their loved ones that passed by su***de and connect with others who have been bereaved through grief and loss. 🦋🦋

We love how our community comes together as one to support each other and we want to especially acknowledge the many personal reasons that inspire community members to keep attending year on year.🙏🙏🙏🙏

Great work from our team, headspace Bendigo Youth Ambassadors, Community Health Services and Community Services students from TAFE for your support on the day.

Recently Haylee and Maree attended Trobe University, Bendigo and presented to the Lifeskills students 💚💚💚
Haylee and Maree agreed the presentation was one of their favorites as the students were so engaged and felt comfortable enough to share some of their experiences. 🙏🙌
We covered all things headspace Bendigo with a special focus on Diversity and pronouns. 🌈
The best part of the presentation was coming together at the end and dancing with the group to the song, "Lean on Me" 💚🩷❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜
