Recently we attended the Reclink season opener between Bendigo Gold vs Melton Lions at the California Gully oval. 🏉🏉🏉

The Bendigo Gold football team invited all potential players, volunteers and supporters to attend and celebrate the return of Reclink football to Bendigo as they kicked off the 2026 season. 👐🙌👋

The program is open to people aged 16 years and over and of all abilities. Reclink Australia football uses modified rules to support inclusion and participation for players of all abilities.
It was wonderful to see Colleen, Ray and Rob from Bendigo Sandhurst Rotary Club cook the BBQ for everyone on the day. 🌭🌭🌭
A big shout out to Peter and Rhan from Reclink Australia for bringing such a wonderful program to our community. 🙌🙌🙌🙌

Welcome back to our Youth Ambassadors group Amy. 💚💚💚
It is great to have you part of our volunteer team ☺️

Meet Amy our adventurous Youth Ambassador. 👋👋👋
Name: Amy
Age: 19
Pronouns: she/her
I joined the Youth Ambassador group as a pathway into mental health support work.
During my placement for my Certificate IV in Mental Health, I was fortunate that my mentor organised a tour of the services provided by headspace. 👫💚👋

During that visit, Haylee briefly spoke about the Youth Ambassador program. Afterwards, I explored the headspace website to look for potential job opportunities once I completed my placement but instead found myself drawn to learning more about the Youth Ambassador role. 🙌👐👍
I quickly fell in love with the idea of making a meaningful difference by supporting young people in accessing the help they need.

If you would like more information about becoming a volunteer with headspace Bendigo, please call our reception on 5406 1400.

Heading back to school after the holidays can bring excitement, nerves, or stress for young people. 💛

Checking in, listening without judgment, and reassuring them you are there for them can make a big difference.

Well done to our Youth Ambassadors at headspace Bendigo- Linda, Alyssa and Kate for attending the headspace plus model consultation Workshops recently. 🫶🫶
Thank you for representing our Youth Ambassadors and for being a voice for the young people in our community. 🙏👫🧍👫

Thank you for your reflection, Linda 💚
It was fascinating to see the behind the scenes conduct and the thorough processes to implement a new headspace service model. Being part of this transition felt really significant. There is a real sense of pride in knowing that us Youth Ambassadors were directly shaping the youth voice to ensure headspace facilities better tailor to young people. It’s empowering to see our input being used to create a more accessible and supportive environment, and I hope that we can continue to do so.

Well done to our Youth Ambassadors who held their fortnightly meeting at Discovery Centre Bendigo yesterday and supported the team with their Curiosity Lego exhibition. 🫶🫶🫶

Our Youth Ambassadors loved the opportunity to check out the amazing space and see how our community has come together to build an incredible mosaic out of Lego.
🙏👫👭🧍‍♂️🧍

Our group volunteered to help with sorting out the Lego pieces to ensure there was enough Lego to create another beautiful mosaic piece to display.

Thank you to Matt and Alissa for inviting our team to assist with your project.
