This week Bendigo Health are celebrating a 13 year strong history of Endorsed Nurse practitioners.
Over this time, Bendigo Health has had 20 Nurse Practitioners work for the organisation and currently has 14 endorsed NPs and 4 Nurse Practitioner Candidates working in a variety of roles including: ED, Palliative Care, Respiratory, Oncology, Renal, Urology, Aged Care, Plastics, Infectious Diseases and Womens Health. We cannot wait to endorse our candidates in the areas of acute pain, oncology and su***de prevention

It's Nurse Practitioners week and in Australia we are celebrating their 21st year of practice. For the last 13 years Bendigo Health has embraced Nurse Practitioners, meet some of the faces behind the title.

This week aims is to kick-start the conversation about Nurse Practitioners. Let the conversation be inclusive of Nurse Practitioners and the incredible care and value they add to their patients/clients in health care around the world. Heathcote Health welcomes another new Nurse Practitioner - David Heath

Heathcote Health is delighted to welcome a new Nurse Practitioner to our team - David Heath. Dave is well known throughout the Loddon Mallee region and spent many years working in Intensive Care then Paramedicine, before doing his NP. He was also the first nurse in Australia to be trained up in the UK doing prostate biopsies. His speciality includes urological cancers (bladder, prostate, renal), male lower urinary tract dysfunction, erectile dysfunction and difficult catheterisations. He also works at Bendigo Health with the urology team there and will be in Heathcote once a fortnight to see local patients. Heathcote Health is expanding their Nurse Practitioner capacity and welcome Toni Hall on board. The community of Heathcote will benefit greatly from your knowledge and expertise.

We would like to introduce Toni Hall. Toni is a Nurse Practitioner who specialises in respiratory and heart failure. She is a highly skilled clinician with many years working in the field at Bendigo Health and also privately. Toni will be joining us every second Monday and will help us improve outcomes for those in the Heathcote community with lung and heart disease, especially advanced disease. Toni will also be available for outreach, or home visits for those who may find it difficult to attend Heathcote Health. Your GP or Specialist can refer you to Toni. A massive CONGRATULATIONS to our local Bendigo NP, Anita Wild, who just won the NP Mentor of the year at the conference on the Gold Coast. Anita works for Bendigo Health as a Nurse Practitioner in the Loddon Mallee Palliative Care Consultancy. She is well known throughout the Loddon Mallee, especially in the smaller communities that she visits to not only support the patients but the local nurses and doctors as well. Congratulations on your award Anita and thank you for your nursing leadership throughout the region 🥇👏👏👏
