These five grounding techniques can help you find calm — right here, right now.

5–4–3–2–1 Method
Notice 5 things you can see, 4 you can touch, 3 you can hear, 2 you can smell, and 1 you can taste. A gentle way to return to the present.

Cold Water or Ice
Run cool water over your hands or hold an ice cube. Let the chill remind your body that you’re safe.

Texture Focus
Touch what’s around you — a stone, a piece of fabric, the ground beneath your feet — and notice its details.

Count Backwards
Pick a number and slowly count down. It helps steady your breath and your thoughts.

Object Hunt
Choose a colour or shape and find five examples nearby. Simple, mindful, grounding.

These moments don’t have to be big. Just small pauses that bring you back to now. 🌿
