🐰 Planning your festival weekend in Bendigo?

We’ll be back in Rosalind Park with our quiet sensory space from 3 to 5 April to help make the Bendigo Easter Festival more accessible and comfortable.

If you’ve never used a sensory zone before, what would you want to know?

If you have used one, what made it work well? 💚

Your feedback helps us make community events better for everyone.

We are truly grateful for messages like this, they remind us why we do what we do.

"My parents could not do this without you. Anthea and Darren can go and have a wonderful time and not have to stress about Ben, knowing he is in good hands and these carers love Ben almost as much as we do and Ben loves them that much too. Thanks again to Lifely and support staff from Lifely you all rock"

Knowing that our support helps families find moments of joy, ease, and connection means the world to our team. When you receive NDIS support from Lifely, we are all about making a positive difference to the people in your life too.

Every shared smile, every special outing, and every chance to make life a little lighter reflects the heart of our mission: making the every day better.

Thank you Rebecca, Ben, Anthea and Darren for trusting us, celebrating with us, and allowing us to be a meaningful part of your journey. ❤️

🐰 Bendigo, we’ll see you at the Easter festival! 🐰

Lifely is popping up at the Bendigo Easter Festival in Rosalind Park from 3 to 5 April, and we can’t wait to celebrate with our bendigo community.

Between the parade, the crowds and all the colour and noise, festivals can be a lot.
That’s why we’re setting up a quiet sensory space right in the park.

It’s a calm, low-noise spot where you can pause, take a breath and reset before jumping back into the fun.
Whether you’re bringing little ones, supporting someone with sensory sensitivity, or just need a quick break yourself, we’ve got you covered.

We’re proud to call bendigo home, and we’re proud to provide this space free of charge because we care about local people. Community events in bendigo should be for everyone 💚

Come say hi, take a breather if you need one, and enjoy the easter festival your way.

Do you care for a child or young person aged 5–30 with intellectual disability? Your voice matters 💬

Lifely’s friends and colleagues at The Kids Research Institute Australia are running a national study to understand what health care is really like for families.

They want to know about:

👩‍⚕️ Your experiences with doctors, specialists and health services
💰 The time, cost and complexity of organising health supports
❤️ Health and wellbeing for kids, young people and families
⚠️ The biggest challenges you face
✨ What would make your life easier

The research survey has ethical approval through the University of Western Australia and takes about one hour to complete.
If you’d like to know more or get involved, you can contact:

📧 Dr Rachel Skoss – rachel.skoss@thekids.org.au
📧 Professor Jenny Downs – jenny.downs@thekids.org.au

This is your chance to share what’s working well and what needs to change. Your experience will help improve health care for other families 💙.

🌸 Did you visit our Sensory Space at the Ballarat Begonia Festival (City of Ballarat) ? 🌸

Beanbags. Bubbles. Giant games. A calm spot to reset in the middle of the festival. Sound familiar?

We loved being a sponsor and activation at the biggest Begonia Festival in history. With more than 75,000 people filling the Ballarat Botanical Gardens over the Labour Day long weekend, it was a huge, vibrant few days.

We also had a blast chatting with local people about our new one-on-one support services in Ballarat as well as the services, programs and events the community needs most.

We had such a great time, we want to keep the conversation going. What disability or carer supports would you love to see in Ballarat? Big ideas, small ideas, or totally outside-the-box ideas welcome.

Drop your ideas in the comments, tag a friend with great ideas, or share this with your community to help make Ballarat more accessible and inclusive. 🌿🌸🍃

💪 Personal Best Alert! 💪

A huge shoutout to Jess, who smashed her personal best on the treadmill this week! 🎉

Not only are our staff incredibly proud of her determination and effort, but Jess is also proud of herself, and rightly so. Achievements like this don’t just happen overnight; they come from showing up, pushing through, and believing you can do it.

Jess hopes her milestone inspires others to give it a go, set their own goals, and see what they’re capable of. Every step forward counts, and today Jess proved just how powerful persistence can be. 👏

Let’s all celebrate Jess and keep cheering each other on! 🙌
