Tate’s Journey with Connecting Futures

Tate came to Connecting Futures with a clear goal — to build a sustainable career in civil construction and work toward a career in mining. Living with a lifelong intellectual disability, Tate had the motivation and experience but lacked confidence and support in navigating complex recruitment processes.

With tailored, person‑centred career services from Youth Employment Mentors Luke and Aaron, Tate secured full‑time employment as a Ranger/Land Clearer in a role aligned with his career goals — including supported pathways into the dream career in the mining industry.

Today, Tate is proud to be in a career that gives him confidence, purpose, and a clear future pathway. Most importantly, he feels genuinely supported every step of the way on his career journey. ✨

With our new Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) contract launching on 1 November 2025, we’re looking for a passionate Compliance & Performance Lead to help shape the future of youth employment services.
This full-time, hybrid role offers the chance to: Lead compliance and performance across IEA and NDIS Youth Employment Services
- Build inclusive recruitment pathways for young adults
- Drive continuous improvement and best practice
- Work closely with our Directors and frontline teams
- Influence policy, procedures, and service delivery

Connecting Futures Australia has been selected to deliver Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) (formerly Disability Employment Services) as a specialist Youth aged 25 and under provider in Bendigo, Castlemaine, Maryborough, Echuca, Kyabram and Shepparton.
We have multiple roles across the Bendigo and Goulburn Valley ESA's.

Thanks Lifely & Be.Bendigo - the Bendigo Business Excellence Awards for Diverse and Inclusive workplace meant so much to the team at Connecting Futures Australia. To receive the award from Lifely who share the same vision of inclusion and diversity not only in the workplace, also the broader community made the moment more special.

Building diverse and inclusive workplaces happens through taking action. We see this all the time with our Inclusive Recruitment service for local industry when a young adult with a disability joins their team.
