SwanCare

SwanCare Caring for WA seniors since 1961, SwanCare is a full service not-for-profit aged care community.

The first residents embraced SwanCare living (then known as Swan Cottage Homes) in 1961, shaping the future of the not-for-profit and registered charity, which has become one of Western Australia’s leading providers of quality retirement living and aged care. More than 1,000 residents call SwanCare’s Bentley Park home, residing in one of four aged care centres or in the vibrant retirement living community. The 15 hectare site is WA’s largest all-in-one retirement and aged care campus, including SwanCare at Home and services such as cafes, hairdressers, doctors, grocery store, and a leisure precinct with gym, pool, bowling green, and more. SwanCare also operates Australind Rise, a boutique retirement village situated by the Leschenault Inlet, only 1.5 hours south of Perth. The tight knit community enjoys social catch ups and quiet leisure facilities. SwanCare offers an engaging community and endeavours to enrich the lives of their residents. The company strives to provide a caring community where every person feels safe and has the freedom and choice to live the life they desire.

How many staff does it take to reach a collective 275 years of service? At SwanCare, just 17!

Last Friday, we proudly celebrated our long-serving team members who marked 10 or more years with SwanCare in 2025. Their dedication spans every corner of our organisation from Nursing and Housekeeping to Maintenance, Support Services, Finance and even our Main Production Kitchen!

Among them are two incredible milestones:
✨ Karen Parker, Executive Assistant, celebrated 30 years
✨ Kim George, Finance Assistant, reached an extraordinary 45 years
Their stories are a testament to the heart and soul of SwanCare: 🔗https://swancare.com.au/our-media/news/much-more-than-an-executive-assistant 🔗 https://swancare.com.au/our-media/news/celebrating-45-remarkable-years

🎃👻 Spooktacular smiles and magical moments! 👻🎃

Last week, SwanCare’s residential aged care centres were filled with laughter, colour and creativity as residents celebrated Halloween in style.

From whimsical costumes and festive photo props to fun games, sweet treats and even a fashion parade; the joy was contagious!

It was a heartwarming reminder that the magic of childhood wonder has no age limit.

Spring may be passing quickly, but September was a wonderful month filled with heartfelt gratitude, so we should take a moment to recognise the incredible efforts of our SwanCare team. 🥳

Our overall September Feathers winner is Case Manager, Mary Sackey from SwanCare at Home, who has been nominated for her exceptional Customer Service.

Mary received feedback from Occupational Therapist Zac Leow about our Home Care client who moved into SwanCare Ningana. Zac wrote, “Hi Mary, thank you so much for all your support throughout Blanche’s transition process. Blanche and her family are truly grateful for your dedication to helping move things forward so efficiently and making this happen within such a short timeframe.”

Mary, we are so fortunate to have you as part of our SwanCare family. Your constant dedication and effort for our residents consistently make a positive impact. Congratulations on being the overall Feathers winner for September, very well deserved! 👏

We’re delighted to shine the spotlight on all our September category winners who have been acknowledged for their exceptional efforts.
