Our client has a very good habit, he marks all his liners. For example, this one was purchased on the 31st day of the sixty-first month of 2024. We knew that a time machine existed! 🙂🙃

This is what we call “matching”! Thanks to the individual cosmetic covers manufactured by Limb-Art! This option allowed us to create and harmonious ensemble consisting of a socket and a cosmetic cover. https://www.facebook.com/limbartcovers

This video demonstrates the difference between a "mechanical" prosthetic foot and Meridium, the foot with electronics on board. Thanks to Courtney van Putten from Amplitude Physiotherapy for the footage!

Our client requested a prosthesis suitable for different water activities, such as swimming, snorkelling, jet ski riding, boating etc. What is the best way to check if it works? The best way is to test a check prosthesis in a real environment.
First results:
Swimming test – passed.
Swimming with fins – passed (will keep working on some improvements).
Operating PWC in water (launching, docking etc.) - passed.
Jet ski riding test – passed.
Thanks to all our dream team (in the first photo 😊)
Also, thanks to the Ottobock Freestyle Swim foot which can be switched into a swimming position.

These twin trans-femoral sockets left our clinic yesterday, one of them as a part of everyday prosthesis and another one – as a part of a prosthesis for water activities. We wish them a long, nice trip. :-)

Advanced knee joints always require comprehensive training delivered to the prosthesis wearers so that they can use all the new advantages of the knee joints. However, sometimes this is not enough. In the photograph, our colleague, Courtney Van Putten from Amplitude Physiotherapy delivers physiotherapeutic magic to our client to improve his physical ability to utilize the new functions of the recently installed VGK-Go! knee joint (https://www.verygoodknee.com).

We always recommend to all our clients visit us regularly for an annual check of their prostheses. Why is it important? This photo demonstrates the hidden problem that is not visible to a prosthesis wearer – the critical rust of the grub screws. Grubscrews hold all parts of the prosthesis together and their failure can lead to a serious injury.

On 06/09/2022 we posted the first photo of a set of prosthetic components which can be changed in different combinations thanks to Lindhe Xtend Connect system.
https://www.lindhextend.com/en/
At that time it was a set of one socket and three feet.
Here is the photo of the final set suitable for most of our client’s situations. This set gives our client 21 (twenty-one!) combinations of sockets and feet. 💪
Why did we say“for most of our client’s situations”? We did not say “for all situations” because he is speculating about further development! 🙂
