🌞 Stay Sun Safe this Christmas in the Darwin Heat 🎄

With Darwin’s wet season heat well and truly here, it’s important to take extra care of yourself and your loved ones over the Christmas break.

✔️ Drink plenty of water — even if you don’t feel thirsty
✔️ Wear a hat, sunglasses, and light, loose-fitting clothing
✔️ Apply SPF 30+ sunscreen and reapply regularly
✔️ Seek shade and avoid prolonged sun exposure during the hottest part of the day
✔️ Keep an eye on children, older adults and anyone working or exercising outdoors

Heat exhaustion and sunburn can happen quickly in the Top End. If you’re feeling dizzy, unwell or overheated, seek medical advice early.

At Remote Territory Healthcare we support the next generation of nurses and continue as a teaching partner with James Cook University. We attended the badging ceremony and reunited with 4 of our valued Registered Nursing students. We wish them well on their nursing journey and feel honoured to have shared our Nurse Led Model of Care in the Darwin Rural Area.
