Hydrate to Achieve Great Performance and Reduced Pain.

Water makes up nearly 70 percent of a person's body weight. It is essential and sustains life.
However, the average person loses nearly 10 cups of water as the body rids itself of toxins through breathing, sweating, and going to the bathroom. For the vital organs, muscles, and brain to function correctly, people need to replenish this fluid to prevent dehydration continually.

Why is it important to stay hydrated?

• Water is foundational to health. The fluid surrounds the nucleus of every one of the billions of cells in your body. A healthy, hydrated body:
• Maintains a stable temperature
• Metabolizes energy efficiently
• Supports a regular heartbeat and normal blood pressure level
• Reduces the risk of developing kidney stones.
• Increases muscle strength and stamina
• Advances better performance
• Improves mental awareness
• Correct hydration assists the body to eliminate wastes and toxins that can cause painful conditions. It is the lubrication your joints need, that reduces joint pain and inflammation.
• Two percent reduction in fluid, dehydration starts to cause brain fog. Fluid reduction between 10 to 15 percent is a severe concern, and you should see a doctor.

Remedial Massage is a series of treatments related specifically to need.
It combines a full range of techniques designed to assess and then heal soft tissue injuries.

These may include but are not limited to trigger point therapy, myofascial release, muscle energy techniques, craniofacial therapy, and deep tissue massage.

The aim is to relieve pain, increase range of motion, and to help repair and restore soft tissue dysfunction. And restore muscles, tendons, and ligaments to their healthy function.

Remedial massage supports the prevention and management of soft tissue injuries. It ties in well with other health professionals as a part of a patient’s treatment plan.

The majority of people, who come to see me, do so for stress or tension-based pain. Many clients come in because they have upper back, neck, and shoulder pain, and pressure is one of the biggest reasons why this pain occurs. Lifestyle factors, both environmental and innate, cause stress. It accumulates in the body and over time, causes muscles to tighten.

Other examples of patients who would benefit from remedial massage include:

Patients with back spasms and disc problems.
People with chronic pain.
Post-surgery for patients, such as arthroscopic knee surgery or a joint replacement to manage the healing of soft tissue and deep tissue scarring.

The rapid rise in technology has provided us with modern discoveries and new opportunities to work together and create. But increased technology use also contributed to an increase in tech neck and related back injuries.

This new phenomenon needs to be examined to see what the core issues associated with neck and back pain and how to alleviate bone and joint stresses at home and in the office.

What is ‘tech neck’?
Tech neck refers to the upper back, shoulder, and neck pain people feel after extended periods of looking down at handheld devices. We are all absorbed by our phone, our iPad or laptop for unlimited periods, however too much of this forward flexed position can lead to muscle strains and fatigue.

Prolonged stresses can lead to spinal disc injuries and nerve irritations. It’s imperative to tackle this pain early and adjust posture and habits as a result, before the pain extends to shoulders, arms, and fingers.

Did you know that sitting at your desk for prolonged periods is a static posture? And that has the potential to result in many musculoskeletal disorders if not managed?
I have trained in and practiced for many years in repairing and resolving numerous musculoskeletal soft tissue injuries due to bad posture and poorly designed computer workstations.

Hi Everyone
During the past week, I have experienced some situations which have made me think more about my position on vaccination.
First up, I want to make it as clear as possible that I am for vaccination and won't be treating clients who are not vaccinated.
For me, this is not a political stance. It is based purely on science and ethical reasons.
I have practiced helping people who struggle with muscular aches and pain. I want to enable them to enjoy the best life they can without pain or restriction of movement. I do that because I value well-being and health for all. It has always been my primary focus.
Therefore, I'm afraid I have to disagree with those who want me to buck the system and not QR because it is not safe for the person's health or the community they live in.
Finally, it is a legal responsibility and duty of care that I take very seriously.

The Development of the Kyphosis
The condition takes the form of an over-curvature of the thoracic spine (upper back). It’s a posture that causes the back to be more than 40–45 degrees in forwarding position.

There are several types of kyphosis affecting both young and old people.

Therapeutic massage is a full range of techniques designed to assess and then heal to soft tissue injuries.

Remedial Massage & Wellness

I have been a remedial massage therapist and owner of Multicare Tactile Therapies now for 30 years and I have been practicing in the Berwick, Narre Warren and Hallam area for the past 18 years.

When I first started my practice in Berwick I incorporated Naturopathy, Podiatry and Chinese Medicine into my wellness plan to give my clients an opportunity to discover new ways of treating injury and rehabilitation. I have always believed in a holistic and integrated approach to healthcare especially among alternative therapies. My aim was to provide my clients with an overall prospective of wellness and to experience good health and well being.

I have a new team at Multicare and we are excited to offer our experience and expertise to help people experience the benefits and joy of good postural alignment, flexibility, and movement without pain or restriction. Vast experience in resistance training and injury rehabilitation. Combined with the treatment of deep tissue remedial massage and exercise our aim is to get people moving freely again. To help them recover quickly from soft tissue injury and reduce muscle pain and tension.
