🌿 Have you heard of Myofascial Release (MFR)?

It’s a gentle, hands-on technique designed to release restrictions within the fascia — the connective tissue that surrounds and supports every structure in the body.

During pregnancy, changes in posture, hormones, and muscle tension can cause the fascia to tighten, leading to discomfort or reduced mobility.

After birth, these restrictions may contribute to ongoing pain, tension, or limited movement — particularly around the abdomen, pelvis, and shoulders.

Through slow, sustained pressure, MFR helps to:
💫 Reduce pain and muscle tension
💫 Improve movement and circulation
💫 Support scar healing (including C-section scars)
💫 Restore balance and alignment in the body

This gentle, mindful approach can be deeply restorative — helping you feel more at ease as your body adapts through pregnancy and recovery.

✨ Recovering from a Caesarean takes time — it’s major abdominal surgery. Movement can support your healing, but it’s important to take it slow and listen to your body.

🌿 0–6 weeks
- Rest & nourish your body
- Support your scar with compression garments
- Begin gentle touch/desensitisation to abdomen and scar when you feel ready
- Gentle walking & posture awareness (avoid slouching as much as possible)
- Breath work & pelvic floor activation (if comfortable)

🌿 6–12 weeks
- Continue scar care (silicone strips, abdominal massage & scar mobility)
- Gentle introduction to exercise with a postnatal exercise specialist — focusing on core & pelvic floor rehab, gentle mobility, and safe strength foundations

*This is also an ideal time to start Caesarean Rehabilitation & Scar Release Therapy - as long as your incision is fully healed.

🌿 Beyond 12 weeks
- Progress exercises with guidance
- Build strength and confidence before returning to higher impact or heavier training

Every recovery is unique — listening to your body and moving at your own pace is key.

Mind Body Baby offers specialised Postnatal Corrective Exercise sessions and Scar Release Therapy to help you safely rebuild strength, restore function, and feel confident in your body again 🩷

🌙 In the first 3 months, newborn sleep is beautifully unpredictable. Most babies sleep 14–17 hours in a day, waking often to feed and connect.

⏰ Their circadian rhythm — the internal “body clock” that helps them know day from night — is still developing, which is why short naps and frequent night wakings are the norm.

💖 During this stage, our focus is on gently supporting healthy sleep habits, not rigid schedules. Small, consistent cues like a calming bedtime routine, exposure to natural light during the day, and a dim, quiet environment at night can help set the foundation for better sleep as your baby grows.

🤱 Right now, it’s less about “perfect” sleep and more about helping your baby feel safe, fed, and loved.

🤰Natural oxytocin and synthetic Pitocin may sound similar, but they work differently in the body - and during birth.

💡 Oxytocin works as part of a hormonal symphony, helping contractions, pain relief, and bonding.
💡Pitocin mimics the contraction effects but doesn’t trigger the same emotional and pain relieving responses.

Both have important roles in labour care. The key is knowing when, why, & how each is used, so you can make decisions that feel right for you and your baby.
