Don’t forget to follow along!
💜🚴♂️ THE DAY HAS FINALLY ARRIVED 🚴♂️💜
Today is the day. We officially take off on the 2026 Ride For Lucy journey.
No more training rides.
No more recovery sessions.
No more mapping routes.
No more visits to Trek Pakenham for bike gear and servicing.
It’s time.
So much work has gone into making this happen, and now the real challenge begins — cycling from Geelong to Glenelg over 10 days, facing tough terrain, changing weather, long climbs, and even longer days in the saddle.
This ride would not be possible without the incredible support of our families, work communities, and sponsors. Thank you for everything you’ve done to support this initiative and help raise awareness for DIPG cancer. Sharing Lucy’s story has been an honour, and we hope it continues to raise vital funds for research and provide hope for families who may one day face this rare, devastating, life-taking childhood cancer.
This year is a little different for me personally. I’m incredibly grateful to have my friend and work colleague Mel Bellu riding alongside me for Days 1 and 2. From there on, I’ll be riding solo. My close friend Rhys Davie isn’t able to join me this year, which means this ride will be an even bigger challenge — physically and mentally. But he is there in support and I know I can call on him anytime.
But I know the work has been done.
Over the past 6 months, I’ve completed 90 training rides and logged over 4,000 km. My body is ready. When it gets tough, my mind will stay focused on what truly matters — the families who have lost their loved ones to DIPG, the fight these children endured, and especially Lucy.
Over the next 10 days, let’s honour Lucy together.
Let’s push donations through the roof.
Let’s raise awareness far and wide.
And let’s help give future families a chance at treatment — and one day, a cure.
Thank you again for your support.
We’ve got this.
Join me on the ride. 💜🚴♂️
