Grandparents love spending a few weeks with us!

We know, because they've told us so many times.

Staying in your own home as long as possible is often the best option for older people. We offer tailored rehabilitation care to assist older people to stay strong enough to care for themselves independently, for longer.

If someone you care for could benefit from intensive physical therapy, a medication review, and occupational therapy to support safer movement at home, plus the opportunity to connect with others, please contact our Rehab team to discuss their stay.

Sitting in the Emergency Department isn't on anyone's to do list. That's why we now offer an online 'Virtual ED'.

The My Emergency Doctor service allows you to call and speak to an emergency doctor, who will be able to help with prescriptions, referrals and advice. The best bit is if you need to be admitted to the hospital, they can arrange direct admission to St John of God Berwick Hospital, allowing you to avoid waiting in the ED.

⚠Is your child – or anyone in your family – protected against Meningococcal B?

Meningococcal B is a rare but serious infection that can affect anyone, at any age. It can cause life-threatening illness, permanent disability or even death — often within just hours.

In Victoria, the Meningococcal B vaccine is not provided as part of the routine immunisation schedule, so you’ll need to ask your GP, paediatrician or pharmacist about vaccination and pay for it privately.

People at highest risk of Meningococcal B disease include:

👶 Babies and young children under 2 years old – they are the most vulnerable because their immune systems are still developing.

🧒 Teenagers and young adults (15–24 years) – they often carry the bacteria in their nose and throat without symptoms, which can spread to others or lead to illness.

Protect yourself and your family — speak to your doctor or pharmacist today.

*For more information and to understand if your child may be eligible for a government-funded vaccination, visit: https://www.health.vic.gov.au/infectious-diseases/meningococcal-disease

Over the weekend, our amazing caregivers and their families came together to take part in the Casey Relay for Life, walking in honour of those whose lives have been touched by cancer.

It was a heartfelt event filled with community spirit, hope, and remembrance, as we joined hundreds of others to celebrate survivors, remember loved ones, and raise vital funds for the Cancer Council.

A big thank you to everyone who walked, donated, and supported our team — your compassion and energy truly made a difference. Together, we’re helping create a future free from cancer. 💜
