🀝 Welcome to our newest Supporting Partner – ATEC 🀝

We are proud to welcome Australian Trauma Education Centre (ATEC) as a new Supporting Partner of the Cardinia Community Foundation.

ATEC is an all-in-one mental health provider supporting businesses across the South East, delivering individual counselling, Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) and mental health trainingβ€”both online and face-to-face. Their work helps businesses reduce absenteeism, workplace stress and lost productivity, while building resilience, managing burnout and meeting Worksafe compliance standards.

We are especially grateful that ATEC will be donating a portion of the profits from their EAP programs to support our local community. This partnership is a powerful example of how business can create meaningful social impact while prioritising wellbeing.

Thank you, ATEC, for investing in both workplace mental health and the Cardinia community. We’re excited to work together. πŸ’™

Thanks for having us at the National VET Conference in the Gold Coast. The VELG team did an amazing job organising!

Our session focused on sharing brain regulation activities that educators could draw from into the classroom and online.

Can you touch one of your hands to your opposite year and use your other hand to touch your nose? And switch. And switch. How fast can you do these movements?

Aside from being fun to try and to watch, you just did brain gym or as some like to call it a brain break activity.

As someone who has seen the impact Dementia can have on a loved one, I wanted to give a big thank you to the for inviting me to help out and join this year's Together for Dementia as part of their Dementia Action Week.

It's estimated that dementia impacts approximately 433,300 Australians.

Whilst cures haven't been found yet, some research suggests exercise, and gentle activity such as yoga may help manage dementia symptoms, potentially improving cognitive function, attention, verbal memory, mood, and neural connectivity in dementia patients.
