Stress is normal and essential for everyday life. Stress allows us to survive everyday life. However, the body cannot differentiate between an immediate threat, such as being chased by a lion, or a non-immediate threat, such as financial issues. As such, we often live in a constant state of stress due to our lifestyles.

High long term stress levels wreaks havoc across the body. Effecting hormone levels, the immune system, sleep and brain function. It is important to take some time out each day to focus on reducing stress to ensure long term health and function.

Healthy eating patterns have been associated with better health outcomes, such as longevity, improved function, reduced risk of metabolic syndromes and weight management.

Coming into the holiday season, navigating meals can seem like a daunting task, but it doesn't have to be. The holiday season doesn't have to be filled with restriction, guilt and binge eating. Simply prioritise good quality whole foods most of the time, the other times, simply sit back with family and friends and enjoy.

Pelvic blocking can be useful in a number of different ways.

1. Used to help rule in or out certain diagnoses.

2. To help treat symptoms of disc irritation, as it produces traction in the lumbar spine allowing the disc spaces to open up.

3. Used as an alternative to manual adjusting (the classic cracking usually associated with chiropractic) which is beneficial if the patient presents with SIJ instability or requires gentler techniques due to things like osteoporosis.
