Where Should I Send Sympathy Flowers?
Sympathy flowers are usually sent to the funeral home or the location of the funeral service. Sometimes, it is acceptable to send flowers to the family’s home even after the funeral service, especially if you didn’t hear the news of the person’s passing until after the funeral.

Funeral Quotes & Thoughts

Grief is an individual experience; some cry openly while others keep their emotions carefully guarded. When we lose a loved one, or someone close to us is grieving, it can be difficult to know what to say. Although it may seem insignificant, often a simple “sorry for your loss” or “I’m sorry” is enough to let a bereaved person know you care. Words are powerful, and they can bring us great comfort and strength during the toughest times.

There are many inspirational quotes about death, dying and grief. Here a just a few we hope will bring you solace and give you the courage to go forward.

Delivering a Eulogy With Hologram Technology
Businessman Carl Minardo has recorded a 10-minute hologram eulogy which he plans to “deliver” at his funeral. Whilst holding a martini the businessman says to mourners:

‘I’m talking to you personally because I want to express from my heart how important you all were and how much better my life has been with you in it. Let’s raise a glass to me.”

Hologram technology has already been used to resurrect singers such as Michael Jackson, Tupac and Maria Callas. Carl Minardo wants the technology to expand, so that hologram eulogies become a common sight at funerals over the coming years.

Hologram Eulogies At Funerals
While some people might think hologram eulogies are a little creepy, Minardo has found the opposite to be true. Once he shows people the eulogy he has recorded for his own funeral, most of them end up in tears. There are also other benefits to a hologram including absolving loves ones of the difficult task of delivering a eulogy, and being able to record your hologram while still in the prime of your life. Most people hate the thought of being remembered as sick or dying.

“Eulogies are hard to do. It’s a stressful time, why burden your family? This is a wonderful vehicle to eulogize yourself, to create a life legacy that you’d like to have people know after you’ve left.”

Convinced? The technology is currently only available in the United States, but is expanded to expand worldwide as demand grows.

1. What Flowers Should I Send?
Lilies, roses, carnations, and chrysanthemums have traditionally been used as funeral arrangements or sent as sympathy flowers. If you’re wondering what type of flowers to send, all of these are good options. Another idea is to send an arrangement featuring the flower the person was fond of.

What to wear to a funeral

Black is the traditional colour of funerals and has long been a symbol of grief and grieving. However, in modern, multicultural Australia, deciding what to wear to a funeral can be difficult. Many funerals are less formal or have been pre-planned with specific requests regarding what clothing guests would wear. Some religions and cultures will also require mourners to wear specific types or colours of clothing. So, how do you know what clothing will be appropriate for the service you are attending? We’ve written this mini guide to help you navigate your way through this tricky topic.

Everyone responds differently to the loss of a loved one and it can be difficult to know what to do or say to the bereaved. Sometimes, no matter what we say, it feels like the wrong thing. Other times, we feel completely useless, unable to provide any meaningful assistance to those experiencing loss. Whether it’s a close friend or a colleague, knowing how to express sympathy in a meaningful way is important, and even though saying nothing may seem easier, saying something is always better than saying nothing at all.
