During Paddock Pals we put our skills to the test building jumps and tackling obstacles 🐴✨

What might seem like a simple task turned into a great opportunity for problem solving, communication, and teamwork. Working together, sharing ideas, and supporting each other every step of the way made the end result even more rewarding 💛

Today was something truly special 🤍

Our beautiful therapy pony, Piper, spent time visiting a local aged care facility to share a little Easter and Good Friday joy. From the moment she arrived, there were smiles, laughter, and even a few happy tears.

For many residents, Piper brought back cherished memories of childhood, of farms, of animals they once loved. For others, it was simply the comfort of her gentle presence — a soft nose to pat, a quiet moment of connection, a reminder that joy can still find us in the smallest ways.

These visits mean so much more than we can ever put into words. They remind us of the power of connection, kindness, and the simple magic animals bring into our lives.

This Easter, we’re so grateful to be able to share moments like these — moments of warmth, reflection, and love.

Thank you, Piper, for being such a gentle soul and for spreading happiness wherever you go 🐴💛

Check out some of the teamwork and problem solving going on in video!

These young women had the challenge to find a way over these rocks. We saw bravery, problem solving and teamwork through cheering each other on and providing tips on how to cross!

Our Story

At Sydney Equine Assisted Learning, we offer a range of therapeutic and educational activities involving horses.

We offer both Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (Eagala Model -EAP) and Equine Assisted Learning Programs (EAL). It is a therapy that uses horses to help humans.

EAP sessions include the support of a qualified counsellor, as is required for the EAGALA Model. EAL sessions are designed around learning and are delivered in an educational setting, without the inclusion of a Mental Heath professional. However, EAL does have the potential to be therapeutic.

Equine Assisted Psychotherapy may be applied in a range of areas but can be very beneficial when working with clients who are experiencing depression, anxiety, post traumatic stress and people with intellectual or physical disability. As there is no riding involved with EAP, everyone, regardless of ability is able to participate ,increasing access to those who may not have been able to join in before.
