SNOWBOARD BIOHACKING WITH LACTIGO AND KETONES

Experiment number two on the mountain.

This time I combined two things I have been experimenting with for a while. Lactigo on my legs and a new formulation of K1 drinkable ketones.

Location. Breckenridge Mountain, Colorado. Absolutely stunning and very different from my usual sea level environment back home in Australia. The top of the mountain pushes close to 4000 metres, so the altitude alone makes things interesting. Unfortunately neither product helps with my ability to breathe 😞

With the Lactigo I changed things up. In previous tests I only applied it to certain parts of my legs. This time I covered both legs completely, top to toe to help reduce the lactic acid burn that normally builds up when riding hard.

I have been experimenting with ketones for about 10 years, but this new K1 formulation claims longer lasting energy and less stomach bloat, so I wanted to test it in a real world environment.

Result. About four hours of hard riding before lunch. My legs still felt strong, the usual burn was much lower, and my energy stayed steady the whole time. No bloat either.

BE MY WORKOUT VALENTINE 💘

My wife and I never celebrate ‘Hallmark Holidays’ as we call them, like Valentine’s Day - but we will make the effort to do something together and this week prior to V Day, it was a partner workout, because I’m leaving in a couple of days to go overseas.

It was super fun and I didn’t realise how many exercises we could do simultaneously together on my new bit of kit. I’d much rather do this than go out together for a meal on the actual day, any day!

⬆️ MOBILITY ⬇️ ELIMINATE PAIN

In the case here of my new client Tom, his extremely tight body as given him exorbitant amounts of lower back pain.

He’s been stretching regularly, but after I did my initial assessment on him, we realised he was actually stretching muscles he needed to strengthen! The exact opposite.

When a person is in pain and taking a physical approach to improve their body mechanics, a personalised approach needs to be taken to improve mobility and strength in the right places.
