Jobs and muscle tension

Different jobs require the use of different muscles and postures for extended periods of time.

Sitting is one of the worst things we can do for prolonged periods of time. It is associated with increased pressure in the lower back and adjustments in the head, neck and shoulder positions. These all interact to strain muscles and potentially cause nerve impingement.

Remedial massage can work to relieve these ailments, however for long term benefit a work station assessment should be conducted to ensure continued strain is not placed on the body. Minor adjustments here can make big differences to muscluloskeletal strain.

1 Occupational Therapy degree completed!

Firstly, a huge thank you to all of my clients for your flexibility and continued support throughout this last year. It has not been easy balancing working and 23 weeks of placement, but it was done!

With this ending, going forward I will be offering Remedial massage appointments on Tuesdays, Thursday and Fridays.

CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEARS

As usual we are not going away during this holiday period and so it is business as usual.

I hope to see you all soon and if not before Christmas, have a wonderful Christmas and New Years :)

I think it's time to reintroduce myself 🎀

Hi, I'm Felicity. I've been running my own remedial massage business from my home in Largs/Bolwarra Heights, since mid 2019. I am currently on my final placement for my Masters of Occupational Therapy degree which I find is bringing a lot more depth to my massage clients treatments.

I have completed further studies in pregnancy massage and offer this and remedial massage appointments which can be claimed through private health funds. Relaxation massage is also offered

Outside of study and work I enjoy being outdoors and active. I have 2 young children who keep us very busy.
