Bondi is my place of peace.

Every Sunday, rain or shine, my twin sister and I walk the Bondi to Bronte track.
It’s our ritual. Our pause. Our reset.
We were there just 12 hours before the tragedy broke.

And now… I don’t have many words.
Just a heavy heart.
For the lives lost.
For the families left behind.
For a community shaken in a place so many of us consider sacred.

When something so violent happens somewhere so familiar
it hits differently.

If your iron comes back ā€œnormalā€ on pathology but your energy feels anything but normal, there’s usually more going on beneath the surface.

What most women aren’t told is that iron isn’t just about how much you have, it’s about how well your body can use, move, and regulate it.

And that part is often where things get stuck.

Low energy doesn’t always mean you need more iron. Sometimes the issue is that iron can’t get to where it needs to go.

If the liver is congested, minerals are out of balance, or your system has been under long-term stress, iron can look perfectly ā€œfineā€ on a test… but your body can’t utilise it.

I often explain it this way:
Iron is like the mail, essential, but useless if it can’t be delivered.

If the ā€œfront doorā€ is blocked, the ā€œhallwayā€ is cluttered, or the ā€œaddressā€ isn’t clear, you can keep adding more mail… but it still won’t reach the room that needs it.

This is why so many women feel depleted even when their ferritin looks okay, or after months of supplementation that never seems to shift anything.

So many women come to me saying the same thing:

ā€œI’m doing everything right… but I still feel exhausted.ā€
ā€œMy blood tests are normal, but I don’t feel normal.ā€
ā€œNo one can tell me why I’m so overwhelmed or inflamed.ā€

Here’s the truth no one explains clearly:
your minerals shift long before your symptoms do…
and long before blood tests show anything at all.

Minerals are your body’s electrical system.
They shape your energy, your stress response, your digestion, your hormones, your sleep, everything.

But when life happens…

Feeling overwhelmed but not sure why?

Here’s something most women were never taught:
There are two very different kinds of stress responses, activation and dysregulation, and your body needs completely different support for each.

What is Activation? ⚔

Activation is your short-term, immediate stress response.
It’s what happens when something stressful happens right now.
Think:
• Heart races
• Breath gets shallow
• Mind speeds up
• Cortisol rises

This type of stress is momentary, and your body usually returns to balance once the situation passes.
It responds well to grounding tools: breathwork, EFT, stepping outside, sensory regulation, shaking, tapping.

What is Dysregulation? 🌱

Dysregulation is not short-term stress.
It’s what happens when the nervous system has been under pressure for too long.
Think:
• Feeling ā€œon edgeā€ even when nothing is wrong
• Easily overwhelmed
• Emotional exhaustion
• Chronic fatigue
• Trouble regulating mood or sleep
• Hormones or minerals feel ā€œoffā€

Dysregulation comes from accumulated stress, depletion, trauma, emotional overload and nervous system burnout.
This requires deeper restoration — not quick stress hacks.

Why this difference matters:

Treating activation like dysregulation (or the other way around) keeps so many women stuck.
Activation = in-the-moment relief
Dysregulation = long-term repair

When most people think about heart health, they focus on arteries, blood pressure or the heart muscle itself.

But the story often starts much earlier, in the liver.

Your liver is your body’s most powerful filter and regulator.

Every drop of blood that reaches your heart has already moved through the liver first.

So when the liver becomes overworked or sluggish, the ripple effects can be felt throughout the entire cardiovascular system.

Here’s what can happen when the liver is struggling:
✨ Blood becomes thicker and harder for the heart to pump
✨ Cholesterol rises as detox pathways slow
✨ Waste and metabolites build up
