It is very rewarding to see hard work, sacrifice, commitment and study pay off.
The three doctors pictured with me are all recent Facial Plastic Surgery Fellows and have all passed their Facial Plastic Surgery Exams in the past year.
Leonie Wijermars (on my right) passed the International Facial Plastic Board exams last year in July. Rodrigo Cabezon (left) passed the same exam this year, while Eamon Shamil (right) passed the new European Facial Plastic Surgery Board exams this September.
All three surgeons made the giant effort to leave home to study and train in Sydney to set up their futures.
We wish them every success in the budding careers.

The last few days I have been in Dublin at the EAFPS European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgeons meeting as an invited speaker.
On the Friday I gave lectures on “The Complex Tip” in Rhinoplasty and on Social Media in Facial Plastic Surgery.

Dr Phil Jumeau gave an excellent lecture on his special graft treatment for nostril retraction.

Dr Aaron Griffin gave an excellent lecture on ergonomics and neck strain which is an important issue for surgeons.

It was a special privilege for me the day before to present in the same keynote session as my great friend and mentor Neil Gordon.

The last few days I have been in Dublin at the EAFPS European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgeons meeting as an invited speaker.
On the Thursday I gave keynote lectures on Browlift Surgery and Deep Plane Facelift Surgery.

It was a special privilege for me to present in the same keynote session as my great friend and mentor Neil Gordon.

I attended the conference with 3 other Australians Dr Philip Jumeau Dr Sharam Shahidi .aus and Dr Aaron Griffin

These conferences are the opportunity to share ideas and knowledge with some of the world’s great surgeons and to catch up with friends.

Days 2 and 3 of the 6th Multidisciplinary Master’s Symposium on Functional and Aesthetic Rhinoplasty were the Symposium held at the Maritime Museum in Sydney.
I was co-convenor with Dr Peter Callan and Dr Sim Choroomi
We had international guest lecturers who are some of the best rhinoplasty surgeons in the world .miloskovacevic
Local faculty included and me

There were more than a hundred attendees from Australia consisting of ENT surgeons and Plastic Surgeons. This mixture of surgeons from different specialties promotes sharing of ideas and advances the knowledge. This can only benefit surgical outcomes and patient wellbeing.

The 6th Multidisciplinary Master’s Symposium on Functional and Aesthetic Rhinoplasty was held on the 4-6th September in Sydney

The Symposium started with the dissection workshop at Sydney Hospital where the keynote lecturers demonstrated various advanced rhinoplasty surgical techniques.
This was followed by 2 days of lectures at the Sydney maritime museum.

There were more than a hundred attendees from Australia consisting of ENT surgeons and Plastic Surgeons. This mixture of surgeons from different specialties promotes sharing of ideas and advances the knowledge. This can only benefit surgical outcomes and patient wellbeing.
