A glimpse inside the Born Ready course.

Our approach combines evidence-based education with practical understanding of the body.

Labour isn’t about pushing through pain.

It’s about working with your body.

Simple coping strategies like breathing, movement and counter pressure can make contractions feel more manageable and less overwhelming.

Preparation builds confidence.

Save this for later 🤍

Episiotomy is one of those words many women hear for the first time during labour.
In the Born Ready course, we deep dive into what an episiotomy actually is, what it looks like, when it may be suggested, and the reasoning behind it. Not to scare you, but to remove the unknown.

Understanding interventions before birth means fewer surprises and more confidence in the moment.

This is part of our Sneak Peek Friday series, where we share short previews from inside the course so you can see how we teach and prepare you for birth.

Because being informed shouldn’t happen after the fact.🤝

You don’t have to figure this out in the moment.

We practise.
We adjust.
We explain.
We support.

So when labour begins, your body and your team know what to do.

Preparation builds confidence 🤍

Early labour doesn’t look like the movies.

There’s rarely a dramatic moment.
It’s often slow. Subtle. Sometimes confusing.

And that uncertainty is what can make people feel unsettled.

But when you understand what early labour actually looks like - what’s normal, what’s expected, and what your body is doing - you’re far less likely to second-guess yourself.

Preparation builds confidence 🤍

The role of a birth partner carries real weight.

Inside Born Ready, Sam Ziegelaar, Doula and Physiotherapist, explains what supportive partnership truly looks like in labour - staying present, understanding options, communicating clearly, and adapting as things shift.

Support isn’t just being in the room.
It’s knowing how to respond.

This is part of our Sneak Peek Friday series, offering short glimpses into how we prepare both birthing women and their partners for the birth space.

Because birth works best as a team.

Birth isn’t something that just happens to you.
It’s something your body prepares for.

Movement, positioning and hands-on guidance can change how labour feels.

Understanding how to work with your body builds confidence long before contractions begin.

We see so much messaging around “strengthen your pelvic floor” in pregnancy.
Strength matters.

But so does the relaxation phase.

During second stage of labour, your pelvic floor needs to:
Drop
Open
Relax and length during a push.

Ideal preparation means understanding both how to contract and relax and length your pelvic floor.

And when you understand that - confidence to push well follows.

As part of the Born Ready course, you’re lucky enough to hear from some of our Born Ready mums as they share their personal birth stories.

Kat speaks honestly about her experience, what surprised her, what supported her, and what she wishes she’d known earlier.

Birth stories matter. They remind us there is no single “right” way to give birth, only informed, supported experiences.

Another Sneak Peek Friday from inside the course.🌟
