Going upside down.
A favourite of mine!
Inversions may be just the thing you are missing in your practice.
Neuroscientist Tara Swart explains why it is so beneficial:
They can help the body go into "rest-and-digest" mode, which helps to de-stress.
It moves the nervous system into parasympathetic and out of sympathetic, which is the dreaded "fight-or-flight", right?!
If you allow your head to come below your heart, it calms the mind, improves digestion,
relieves stress, and can even help headaches.
