It has to be said.
This week was a lot with the storm that hit Bribie Island hard. I used to say that we always avoided the heavy storms as they always swayed past Bribie last minute.
But Monday afternoon 24/11/25, it arrived with massive force and shocking speed and caused terrible destruction in its path.
This week felt a lot … for lots of people… juggling their own lives and supporting others.
I would like to massively thank each one of you who stepped forward and supported another person, a family member, a neighbour, a friend and a stranger who no longer feels like a stranger.
Thank you firstly to my son, Nicholas, who put his family in his car, late Monday night, to bring and set up a generator for his Granma. Thank you 🙏💗
Thank you to the clients who drove to my house to say they would reschedule their appointments. Thank you. 🙏
(Yes I stayed home to greet each client as I couldn’t reach them by phone as phone wasn’t working).
Thank you to my beautiful client who happily received an Indian Head Massage with no power, no air conditioning or lights in my studio. Thank you 🙏 It was a corker! So hot!
Apologies to the clients who didn’t receive my cancelled programs messages and phone calls. I truly appreciate your understanding.
It has to be said.
Thursday night … when another storm headed our way … I saw the scared eyes of the children showing the impact that Mondays storm had left. I also felt the urgency to close up the house in record speed.
I’m here for you all.
Let’s move forward together as a community … supporting and caring.
Let’s be patient and kind.
Let’s support small business.
