🌟 EXHIBITOR SPOTLIGHT 🌟
Kono Kollective – Creating Connections
We are honoured to welcome Kono Kollective from Queensland to Be The Light Festival — a powerful collective grounded in healing, culture, and connection 🌿
Kono Kollective – Creating Connections was born from the shared vision of wāhine (women) who had each walked their own journeys of healing, loss, growth, and rediscovery. Inspired by the kono — a traditional woven basket used to nurture, carry, and sustain — the collective represents the strength that comes from many strands woven together. Their kaupapa (purpose) is about creating spaces where people feel safe, seen, supported, and deeply connected.
At the heart of Kono Kollective is holistic wellbeing, guided by Māori principles of:
✨ Tinana (physical wellbeing)
✨ Hinengaro (mental & emotional wellbeing)
✨ Wairua (spiritual wellbeing)
✨ Whānau (community & connection)
✨ grounded by Whenua (connection to land and ancestors)
✨ Who you’ll meet from Kono Kollective:
Rejele Bates • Christina Sheerin • Marcia Meyer • Kelly Kaaka • Lisa Kidwell
