I received my Diploma of Remedial Massage from the Australian College of Massage in 2009. With 10 years’ experience in my own small Massage business I have developed an invigorating fast paced approach, based on Swedish Massage techniques. I use deep pressure and trigger point therapy to release muscular tension and improve range of movement. Wednesday and Thursday from the Multipurpose Building located in Boolarra where I live with my wife and 3 kids.

Hari Aum everyone ❤️ Yay I’m finally back teaching Yoga and Komyo Reiki healings. I’m so excited and can’t wait to see everyone again.
🧡 Hatha Yoga classes starting on Tuesday the 22nd July
Time: 6.00-7.30pm in Boolarra.
🧡 Reiki-infused Restorative group session. Saturday 23rd August.
Time: 10.30am-12.30pm
💕 1 hour Private Yoga sessions
💕 1 hour Komyo Reiki Sessions
💕 1.5 hours Reiki infused massage
In my sunroom studio in Boolarra.

Hello and Welcome to Heartwood Essence 💚🌳

I'm Mel, aka Melanie. Owner, operator and heart of Heartwood Essence.

I thought it was time to reintroduce myself and remind/update you of my offerings as Heartwood Essence.

After an intense second half of last year, I have spent the first few months of 2025 updating, rebranding and streamlining this amazing little business of mine. I have moved all of the Heartwood Essence products back home and predominantly online, after spending two years in a bricks and mortar shop. As for the energy healing side of things, I am still offering in-person healings as well as distance healings. Please be in touch if you are interested.

I love what I do... energy healings and teachings and have excitingly discovered my passion for aromatherapy has aligned strongly with the correlation between 'surprise, surprise' aromatherapy and how it can affect us energetically... subtle aromatherapy!

A new and exciting passion of mine is creating medicine tools such as medicine drums, rattles and smudging wands. These will all be available online as they are birthed.

I also practice on Tuesday’s at Traralgon Relaxation and Recovery Centre where you can complement your Massage with a Hyperbaric or Flotation session.
