Strong aerial training starts with how you care for your body.

This workshop is designed to support your aerial practice through deep, intentional mobility and recovery work — helping you move better, feel stronger and recover more effectively.

Expect:
• Myofascial release + targeted stretching
• Yin-style, long-held shapes
• Tools to manage tightness and soreness
• A deeper understanding of your body and flexibility

Accessible for all levels — from “I can’t cross my legs” to “working toward oversplits.”

You don’t need to be strong to start aerial ❤️

This is one of the biggest myths we hear and the reason so many people talk themselves out of trying.

At Aerial Athletic, strength is something you build in class, with guidance, options and support at every step.

Our Intro to Aerial Arts Course is designed for beginners exactly where they are — not where they think they “should” be.

✨ Starts Sunday 8 March
✨ No experience needed
✨ A calm, supportive place to begin

Does this myth sound familiar? You’re not alone.

3 Common Beginner Silks Mistakes (and how to fix them) ❤️

Silks is all about clean wraps and smart positioning. A small adjustment can completely change how secure and strong a skill feels.

Here are 3 common beginner mistakes we see in class and the simple fixes that make a big difference:

1️⃣ Russian Climb – Straightening your legs before your feet are fully wrapped can cause you to slide or lose tension. Secure the wrap first, then extend with control.

2️⃣ Foot Lock – Opening the silk with your foot while wrapping can split the fabric and weaken the lock. Instead, press and guide the silk with your foot to keep it closed so it wraps neatly and stays supportive.

3️⃣ Straddle Up Crochet – Dropping your hips down to wrap your legs makes the entry heavier and harder. Keep your hips lifted to stay light and efficient through the movement.

The little details are what build confidence in the air.

💾 Save this for your next training session.

If your foundations feel shaky, this is your reset 🙌

Strong aerial skills don’t come from pushing harder. They come from understanding how your body should move.

Darcie’s Drills for FUNdamentals workshop is all about building clarity and confidence in the skills that show up everywhere in aerial training.

This session is designed for beginner–intermediate students who want their:
• Inverts
• Pullovers
• Spinning entries

To feel more controlled and efficient.

You’ll leave with drills you can actually use, both on and off the apparatus and a clearer understanding of what to focus on in your own training.

🗓 Sunday 8 February
📍 Aerial Athletic, Bowen Hills
🎟 Limited spots available via the class schedule / link in bio

If foundations are on your focus list this year, this one’s worth your time.
