After 35 years of practicing meditation it suddenly occurred to me that the greatest act of self-love is the practice of meditation. OK, so it took me a while to realise this, but as they say, better later than never!

It's the greatest act of self love because you give yourself the time to rest in your true nature, which is pure joy, love, wisdom and enlightenment. You give yourself time to rest without distraction from social media, tv, mental chatter and the general busyness of life. It's pure self-love, because for the time that you are sitting, it's all about you!

My unique offering includes acupuncture + mindfulness/meditation + coaching. Book in for a free 15 minutes session to see if we are a good fit. xx

Today is R U OK? Day 💛 A gentle reminder to pause, check in with the people we love, and also with ourselves.

When life feels a little overwhelming, acupuncture can be a beautiful way to bring balance back to the mind and body. It helps create space to breathe, soften, and feel more grounded. 🌿✨

Sometimes the smallest step towards balance can make the biggest difference. Sending love to anyone who needs it today 💛

Seasonal allergies can leave you feeling congested, tired, and frustrated. Acupuncture offers a natural approach to easing symptoms such as sneezing, itchy eyes, and blocked sinuses. By stimulating specific points on the body, acupuncture helps to regulate the immune system, reduce inflammation, and improve circulation. Many people notice not only relief from acute symptoms, but also greater resilience during allergy season. Acupuncture can also support overall wellbeing, leaving you calmer and more balanced while your body adjusts to seasonal changes.

I often use moxibustion when treating allergies and there also some great herbal medicine formulas available as well.

If you are suffering with allergies, energy, immunity, I’d love to help you. You can book online and I offer a free 15 min consultation to decide if my services are right for you.

with love,
Lee-Anne

The moment you feel a cold coming on, act quickly — early intervention can help stop it from settling in more deeply.

Here are my top tips:

1. Make a Lung tonic tea – you’ll find the recipe in the Education section of my website.

2. Rest – this is essential. Slow down and give your body the space it needs to heal naturally.

3. Keep warm – pop on your favourite beanie, scarf and coat to protect your body from the cold.

If you find yourself catching colds frequently, you may benefit from acupuncture to help strengthen your Lung energy (Ki) and boost your immunity.

Do you struggle to get a good night's sleep? You’re not alone — and the good news is, there are things you can do to improve your sleep naturally.

Here are my top three tips for better sleep:

1. Leave your phone outside the bedroom — or, if you really need it nearby, switch it to airplane mode before bed.

2. Avoid screens (including games!) for at least one hour before going to sleep.

3. Wake up at the same time every day — consistency helps regulate your internal body clock.

Acupuncture is also a wonderful way to support healthy sleep and restore your natural biorhythms. If you’d like some extra support, I’d love to help.

When an animal is injured or unwell, it instinctively retreats to a quiet place to rest. It knows that stillness is the foundation of healing.

As humans, we often try to push through illness and pain, hoping it will resolve on its own — but when we allow ourselves to rest, we align with the body’s natural healing process. In that stillness, we can also receive the insights and wisdom that arise during recovery.

Acupuncture gently supports and accelerates your body’s natural ability to heal.

In Traditional East Asian Medicine (TEAM), the concept of the Three Treasures is central to understanding the body’s vital energies and overall health. The Three Treasures—often referred to as Sei, Ki, and Shen—are considered the foundational substances that sustain life and health. These three elements work together to maintain balance in the body, mind, and spirit. I'll be exploring these terms in detail in the coming weeks. Stay tuned!

Acupuncture—a key component of traditional Chinese and Japanese medicine—is a holistic health care system with roots stretching back centuries. Using fine needles, it aims to regulate the flow of ki (or qi) throughout the body, supporting both acute and chronic health concerns. This approach draws on a deep foundation of accumulated practice, knowledge, and clinical wisdom.

Dry needling, by contrast, is a modern technique that focuses solely on relieving muscle pain and tension. It is a treatment method rather than a complete medical system.

In Australia, acupuncture is a regulated health profession. Only practitioners who have completed a recognised degree—typically four years of full-time study in acupuncture or Traditional Chinese Medicine—and are registered with the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia (CMBA) under AHPRA may legally call themselves “acupuncturists.”

Dry needling is not regulated as its own profession. Instead, it is an additional skill that certain registered health professionals—such as physiotherapists, chiropractors, osteopaths, and massage therapists—may learn through short training programs. Some courses are as brief as two days, with no nationally standardised licensing requirements.

When choosing a practitioner, it’s important to check their qualifications, level of training, and professional registration to ensure you receive safe and appropriate care.

Feeling like you've been hit by a bus? 🚌
Running on empty with zero motivation to get through the day?

You're not alone—and you're likely on the edge of burnout.

There are many reasons we crash:
🛌 Poor sleep
📉 No rest
💼 Overworking
😵‍💫 Mental overwhelm
😤 Chronic stress
🍩 Unbalanced diet
🏋️ Overexercising

If this sounds like you, it’s time to pause and reset. Here's how to start:

🌿 Slow down
😴 Prioritize quality sleep and real rest
🚫 Stop pushing through exhaustion
🥗 Nourish your body
🧘 Practice mindfulness or meditation
🚶 Gentle movement (like walking or yin yoga)
🧠 Release limiting beliefs

💆 Acupuncture and holistic coaching can support you in coming back to balance—physically, emotionally, and mentally.
