Imaging Associates (IA) and Imaging Associates Eastern (formerly known as Imaging Independently) are an independent diagnostic imaging practice which is owned and operated by a group of dedicated, highly specialised Radiologists. Imaging Associates has seven private clinics in Box Hill, Mitcham, Tecoma, the Baw Baw region and Wagga Wagga. Imaging Associates Eastern fulfills the medical imaging contract for Eastern Health at Angliss, Box Hill, Healesville and Maroondah Hospitals. IA and IAE are supported by the Imaging Associates Group, which provides management services and administrative support to these entities.

Dr Bobby Sundaralingam is the Clinical Director of Angliss Hospital. He is a radiologist specialising in nuclear medicine and cardiac imaging, with training completed at Monash Medical Centre followed by a PET and Nuclear Medicine fellowship.

Dr Sundaralingam performs a broad range of general radiology and musculoskeletal injections, with expertise in specialised procedures such as Coronary Artery CT Angiography (CTCA), SPECT-CT and PET. He is also highly experienced in cardiac imaging and nuclear medicine studies including myocardial perfusion and lung VQ scans.

Imaging Associates sponsored the team “Not Fast, Just Furious” in this year’s Sh*tbox Rally, a 7-day, 4,000 km charity adventure where teams drive cars worth less than $1,500 to raise funds for the Cancer Council Australia.

Daniel McCallum and Dillon Reynolds took on the challenge in a $400 1994 Peugeot 405 SRI. They raised an impressive $10,601 for cancer research!

Congratulations to Daniel, Dillon, and all the teams for their determination, teamwork, and contribution to such an important cause.

This November, we acknowledge Lung Cancer Awareness Month - highlighting the importance of early detection in improving outcomes.

Since July 2025, eligible high-risk individuals have been able to access bulk-billed low-dose CT lung scans at Imaging Associates, through the National Lung Cancer Screening Program.
These scans can detect lung cancer at its earliest stages, often before symptoms appear - when treatment is most effective.
