The More than Medicine team gathered tonight for our festive season dinner to thank all our staff. We are so lucky to have the team we have with wonderful people involved across the business.

Tonight we paid particular attention to one very special staff member Julie McGee who is retiring at the end of this year. Julie has worked alongside several Canberra cardiologists as a highly skilled nurse for several decades. She’s cared for so many people across Canberra always with skill and compassion. She’s a wonderful human with a wicked sense of humour and a real understanding of people. While we have several amazing clinical staff members Julie is not replaceable and will be much missed by our team and our patients.

Julie - have a wonderful retirement, much deserved after years of service. We will miss you! 🤗😘🥂🎉

Tonight’s Christmas Party was another ‘Stella’ success bringing us together for a night of fun, joy and laughter. We all love working at More than Medicine. We are proud of our practice, the relationships we have built with staff and patients around Canberra and the region. Tonight we all felt the gratitude of working in a good place with good people. Wishing all around us the best for the festive season. x

Walking for 10-20 mins each day is so good for health. ‘It’s really amazing the amount of benefits you get for a relatively minor effort’ says one of the study authors.

Is there some simple activity you can shift from sedentary to walking at the same time? Chatting to friends or family in person or by phone is a good starting idea. Listening to music or podcasts, the radio, an audiobook or the birds or silence in your area. Every few minutes count to improve your health.
