We were gifted this pretty little batch of blue eggs on the weekend. I have noticed that people who grow their own produce are incredibly generous in sharing it 💙🥚

Hello and happy new year 🤍

I am back in the clinic this morning and really excited for the year ahead. 22 is my favourite number, so I think this year will be a cracker. I have a few exciting projects in the works, which I will share with you soon.

I hope you are all feeling rested and rejuvenated after the holidays. Wishing you all a beautiful 2022 xx

Don’t forget to do something to nourish your mind today. A quick breathing exercise, connecting barefoot with the earth, or even just a quiet moment to yourself 🤍

WORLD SOIL DAY 👣

Healthy soil is essential for supporting our health and wellbeing. It provides nutrients and nurtures the food we grow, filters and stores precious water, and is home to many microorganisms.

I see soil as our planets microbiome, and although I am only just starting to learn about it, I can clearly see that we need to take better care of our soil. Just like our gut microbiome, a healthy soil contains a very diverse microbial population.

Industrial agriculture practices, chemical fertilisers, pesticides, compaction and increasing salt levels all contribute to the reduction of soil biodiversity and health.

Use of regenerative farming practices, crop rotation, planting natives and local endemic species, preventing soil erosion and reducing (ideally stopping) deforestation can all help to restore our soil ecosystems, which can then continue to sustain us.

It is simple and it is complicated. But, we need to start restoring soil health if we want to continue to thrive.
