✨ Meet Louise – Optometrist at Port Stephens Optical ✨
Since joining the optical world in 2016, Louise has built her career on a love for helping others see their best. As a UNSW graduate, she was drawn to optometry with an interest in providing eye care abroad— and has since completed two incredible charity trips in Nepal and Fiji. 🌏💛

Louise loves meeting people from all walks of life and has a special interest in dry eye therapy and treatment. In her spare time, you’ll find her baking sourdough, running, or jumping into whatever sport catches her attention that week.

And if you hear rustling in the tearoom? It’s probably Louise sharing some fun and nostalgic snacks she grew up with! 🍘✨

We’re so lucky to have her caring for our Port Stephens community 👓💕

👋 Meet Maddi — our Medowie Store Manager and one half of our social media team! 💻✨

With 5.5 years in the optical industry and a qualification from Australasian College of Optical Dispensing (class of 2022), Maddi brings passion, expertise, and a big smile to everything she does. 😄

She’s especially passionate about aid and outreach work — in fact, she travelled to Fiji in July 2025 with ODA (Optical Dispensers Australia) to help provide eye care to communities in need 🇫🇯💙, and hopes to do even more of this in the future.

In store, Maddi loves dispensing scripted diving masks and sports eyewear, combining her optical know-how with her active lifestyle. 🏊‍♀️🚴‍♀️🏃‍♀️ When she’s not helping patients, you’ll find her training for triathlons, reading, or speaking a bit of French (très bien! 🇫🇷).

We’re so lucky to have Maddi’s energy, creativity, and care leading our Medowie team and helping keep our socials fresh and fun! 💫
