I have always adored travel from the very first time I went overseas.
What I really admired and loved about my recent trip to Japan was experiencing and witnessing the dedication and devotion artisans had. The energy that sits in an object that has had this level of care, consideration and commitment imprinted upon it is truly remarkable. Combine that with the energy of beautiful precious natural ingredients and you have a work of art.
Sacred objects made ethically and on a small scale become highly regarded and revered.
They contain a life force. I love the collective creative energy you feel when you enter a gallery or a bookshop or library . That culmination of creative energy touches your soul and reminds your spirit of the absolute necessity for creativity, the arts, the ignition of imagination and the accessibility of the esoteric realm.
It is not a possession to acquire but rather a medium for betterment.
I have used these candles before. I bought them from a business here in Australia and used them in my workshop on Altars. I travelled to Kawagoe especially to visit this store and was able to meet the maker. The shop was like a mini gallery. Absolutely beautiful. These precious candles will be used by me for special personal rituals. I have grown tired of the soulless accumulation and acquisitive nature of our lives. Experiential moments are for me some of the most valuable gifts.

Aromatics such as essential oils and incense have been used by humans for thousands of years to support spiritual practice, accompany rituals and employ apotropaic energies. Listening to the energy of incense is a particularly interesting experience for me. Some I have encountered have incredible potency. Experiencing essential oils is also a delightful process where you can feel the subtle differences within each exchange.
Aroma has such a profound impact on our emotions and our psyche so it makes absolute sense why aromatics have always been and continue to be a part of ritual and spiritual practice.
Have you stopped to appreciate the smoke on your incense ? The scent of your aromatics ? Or the energy contained within ? Have you listened to the aromatic ?

There was an overwhelming aroma of Oud the day I visited Putra Masjid and it was sensational. I asked someone if incense was burning but was informed no it was the collective smell of worshippers adorning themselves with Oud. What a beautiful aromatic. It was one of the highlights of my trip to visit this mosque and the local area in Putrajaya, Malaysia.
I can see why Oud is considered such a sacred scent and a medium to commune with God or the divine realm. I returned home with some amazing oud incense which I reserve for special practices

With today’s full moon in Leo we shift into a space of more authentic expression. Performative expression is crumbling. Charlatans, liars, grifters, fakers, takers and big money makers are being exposed. It’s time to drop the act
This is a reckoning. Who are you ? How do you show up ? It takes courage to be who you really are. Can you handle the cost of doing so ? Can you handle the loss of so called “friends” or the consequences of doing the right thing.
Are you brave enough to express who you really are ? Are you being true to yourself or appeasing others ? Are you choosing a life based on what you want or what is ethical for you or are you blindly participating for the sake of approval and what you believe to be peace.
Time to look inwards and decide what is you and what is conditioning , brainwashing or old patterns and social expectations.
Be brave and listen to your truth, and act accordingly. Beware of and remove hidden enemies.
It’s time to be the leader in your own life. Be inspired by the energy of love and strength of your true character. It’s time to be who you were always meant to be.

Tonight we have our first full moon of 2026 and it’s in Cancer.
Turning inwards and self reflection might be on the cards today. The Nursing of inner wounds, resting a tired body or lots of journalling and gentle activities could be happening.
Blends such as Inner Visions, Rebirth, Connect and Full Moon would be ideal to support the energy.
Getting right within is a great way to ensure the life you are creating doesn’t disappoint nor crash and burn because it was built on shaky or weak foundations. Soulful work should always occur alongside your beautiful life. Honest reflection and acceptance of home truths are necessary steps on our journey.

New moon in Sagittarius. If things don’t feel certain or clear right now just know it’s for a good reason. Sometimes we have to make peace with the unknown and that can be scary for many people.
Things always change, nothing stays the same. Take some time out to consider what matters to you, what is important and how are you living in alignment with those values.
I am diffusing mandarin essential oil today. Simple gentle and joyous.

Tonight’s super moon in Gemini is hopefully closing the chapter on emotional patterns and loops that have held you ransom. Emotions are there to be experienced and expressed not stuffed down and hidden.
They don’t just go away because you command them to do so. Feelings can’t hurt you only your suppression of them.
Under tonight’s full moon reflect on what or who needs to go from your life as you move into the future. Trauma will not disappear simply with a full moon or by doing something symbolic it usually requires effort , support and working with a professional. If this has come to light during this year or at this time and you feel ready to do so then find the right person out there to help you. Ensure 2026 includes healing alongside your physical plans.
For others the cut is clear and the line between what has been and what is coming is highly distinguishable.
Reflection may not be easy to ignore with this full moon. Create an altar to help process and give you focus.

If you have my full moon blend it’s a great choice to diffuse. Otherwise eucalyptus, lemon, rebirth blend and inner visions would be good also. Incense resins such as copal and dammar and my full moon botanical incense would be great to burn tonight.
