The week that was πŸ™ƒπŸ€˜ Foot vs Car door!
In the early hours of Tuesday morning - 13cm gash 🀒 Straight up to emergency, they cleaned it out and stitched me up - 21 stitches later! πŸͺ‘

πŸš‘ Back up to Emergency Wednesday as I thought I’d busted a stitch… Nope! Admitted Wednesday night - they were worried about infection in the joint. Surgery Friday to open her up, debridement & clean her all out. When the surgeons say β€œI can smell the infection” before opening it up / taking me into theatre πŸ€’πŸ˜‚πŸ€˜

A Sh*t load of IV antibiotics, pain killers etc regularly since! The Orthopedics team will reassess tomorrow morning, and make the call to either head back to theatre to clean her out again, or if all looks good - send me home!

We know I don’t do things by halves, but this one definitely takes the cake βœŒοΈπŸ’β€β™€οΈπŸ˜‚
