Life at a Brothers SIL house. The lads are shopping for their own groceries, cooking their own meals, and getting out in the community doing what they love. This is independence in action.

World Autism Awareness Day 💙

April 2nd. A day recognised by the United Nations. but for us, it's just another day of showing up.

Because awareness isn't a once-a-year thing. It's in the way you communicate. The patience you bring. The environments you create. The effort you make to understand someone's world instead of expecting them to fit into yours.

At Brothers, we walk alongside men on the autism spectrum every single day. Through mateship, steady routines, real conversations, and meaningful time in the community.

Autism is not something to fix. It's part of who someone is. And that person deserves to be supported, not changed.

Today we wear blue. Every day we show up. 💙

World Autism Understanding Month - April 2026

April is World Autism Understanding Month, a time to build deeper awareness, strengthen inclusion, and celebrate the strengths within our community.

Autism looks different for everyone. What matters most is understanding, patience, and creating environments where people feel supported, valued, and confident to be themselves.

At Brothers Support Network, we support men on the autism spectrum through steady structure, genuine mateship, practical life skills, and meaningful community access.

Understanding builds connection.
Connection builds confidence.
Confidence builds independence.

This month is about listening, learning, and continuing to create communities where everyone has opportunities, respect, and a sence of belonging.

We are proud to stand alongside our participants and families every day.

🏆 Brother of the Month

Every month we recognise one Brother who has gone above and beyond. not just in the work, but in the way they show up for the men they support.

Congratulations to this month's Brother of the Month 👊

Picking up calls from 1965 and dodging dinosaurs at Hologram Zoo. 📞🦕

Getting out into the community, trying new things, and having a laugh along the way. This is what it's all about.

💜 Purple Day

1 in 50 Australians live with epilepsy. That's someone's brother, someone's mate, someone in your community.

It's one of the most common neurological conditions out there, but it's still widely misunderstood. Seizures don't look the same for everyone. The impact goes far beyond the episodes themselves.

At Brothers, we support participants living with epilepsy through steady routines, understanding, and genuine mateship. creating environments where they feel safe, supported, and confident to get out and live their lives.

Wear purple today. Start a conversation. That's where change begins. 💜

Out and about at the Hologram Zoo.

At Brothers, this is what community access looks like.

Not just getting out, but actually enjoying it.

Trying new things.
Building confidence without pressure.
Support that feels natural.
Experiences that people look forward to.

Because the goal isn’t just to fill time, it’s to make the week feel full, fun and fantastic!

A glimpse into life at our SIL home.

A mix of quiet moments and social connection, from relaxed activities at home, to pub quiz nights and getting out to watch the Dolphins live.

At Brothers Support Network, Supported Independent Living is designed to offer more than just accommodation. It’s a place where routine, independence, and community come together.

Our focus is on creating a structured, supportive environment where participants can build confidence, develop life skills, and enjoy a lifestyle that feels full and connected.

Whether it’s time at home, time in the community, or shared experiences with others, every day is about growth, inclusion, and living with purpose.

If you’re looking for a SIL home that offers both support and a genuine sense of community, we’d love to connect.
