This photo was taken in 2012 of my 3 daughters and I during one of the many low points in our long term financial struggles.

My girls were 2, 6 and 8 at the time.

What followed was more than a decade of financial ups and downs — a roller coaster that felt like it never stopped.

I was holding on for dear life.

Every downturn hit hard mentally and emotionally.

Many times I was screaming inside, wishing the ride would finally stop.

But I kept rising.

I kept rising for my children, for my family, for my marriage, and because I wanted more for our lives.

What kept me going was doing things in certain ways every single day.

Movement and exercise.
Mindset work.
Emotional healing.
Time outdoors in nature.
Journalling.
Deep breathing.

Doing these things consistently — day after day, year after year — rewired my brain, regulated my nervous system and elevated my energy.

It built a strong inner foundation of calm, strength, energy and resilience.

That foundation became my anchor — the place I return to whenever life tries to shake me.

Because when your inner world becomes strong, life’s storms don’t break you the same way anymore.

They still come — but you meet them with more calm, more strength and more resilience.

That’s why I believe so deeply in building a strong foundation within yourself.

Not just for when life is easy — but especially for when it feels heavy.

Because the small daily choices you make and the doing of things in certain ways — the movement, the mindset work, the healing, the nature, the journalling, the breathing — quietly build something powerful inside you.

A woman who rises.

Again and again.

Not because life stopped being hard…

But because she became stronger within it.

Movement is at the heart of what I do.

It’s not just about fitness—it’s about freedom! Mental, emotional and physical freedom.

Movement has been a major game changer for me and still is, helping me through my most toughest times in life.

It has rewired my brain, broke old patterns, and built resilience, strength and calm at a level that enables me to more easily withstand the negativities of others and the troubles of life.

Every time I have moved and still move, new neurological pathways have been created that have shielded me from stress and emotional overwhelm especially in carrying the weight of life’s long term challenges.

It’s been and is my secret weapon for shifting my mood and energy.

Movement releases feel-good endorphins, helping me process emotions and lift my vibration.

It also fuels my body, preventing exhaustion so I can show up fully for myself and my family.

This is why mums need movement more than ever. When we move, we don’t just exercise—we:
>> Release stress and overwhelm
>> Process emotions instead of holding onto them
>> Gain mental clarity and feel lighter
>> Step into action instead of feeling stuck

Sometimes life, health, motherhood, work, business, relationships, finances etc can feel like an uphill slog, a tough climb, a mountain of constant obstacles and challenges to get past.

But just remember this - when you keep motioning forward despite the constant uphill climb, you’re not stuck, you’re rising.

You’re a mum/woman rising up towards having what your heart and soul truly desire. That in itself is worth the climb.

In being a midlife mother, it has always been, and still is so important for me to move my body and also get outdoors in nature, everyday.

Both being in nature plus moving my body whether it’s done outside or inside, has activated in me powerful resources of the nervous system, brain, and subconscious mind as well as that of my chakra energy system.

This has all created in me a more thriving stronger inner foundation of calm, strength, energy and resilience.

Plus one that has sustained and carried me much more easily over the years through the storms of life and into the current midlife years plus post menopause.

By continuing to move my body and be in nature everyday, I already know within me that the years to come and those of elderly age will be full of having a body that moves with ease, energy and strength plus a mind that is sharp and strong because I’ve created it from that younger age and sustained it daily and continue to do so.
