Today we share a very sad update.
Due to ongoing changes within the disability sector and the difficult reality of reduced funding and rising costs, we have had to make the heartbreaking decision to significantly reduce our administrative capacity.

As a result, today is Danni’s final day with YOURCARE.

Danni has been with us since the very beginning. She helped build the foundations of this business, supported our team through enormous growth and change, and has been a constant source of strength, care and positivity behind the scenes. Her dedication, loyalty and heart for both our clients and our team is something we will always be grateful for.

This decision is purely a reflection of the changing landscape of our industry and not a reflection of Danni’s performance or commitment, which has always been exceptional.

Danni, thank you for everything you have given to YOURCARE. You will always be part of our story, and we wish you nothing but success, happiness and fulfilment in your next chapter. You will be missed more than words can say 🤍

❤️‍🩹 Why wound location matters for healing ❤️‍🩹

Wounds closer to the heart usually heal faster because circulation is stronger in those areas. Blood brings oxygen and nutrients that are essential for repair.

But for people with reduced mobility, wounds on the lower legs and feet are at higher risk of delayed healing. This is because:

🩹Gravity makes blood return from the legs harder.
🩹Swelling can limit circulation.
🩹Muscles aren’t pumping blood as effectively when movement is reduced.

That’s why we see pressure injuries and leg ulcers take much longer to resolve compared to wounds on the upper body.

🚨 Autonomic Dysreflexia = medical emergency 🚨
Happens in people with spinal chord injuries when the body overreacts to something below the injury.

⚡ Triggers: blocked catheter, bowel issues, pressure injury, tight clothes, ingrown toenail.

⚡ Symptoms: pounding headache, flushed face, sweating above injury, HIGH blood pressure.

If you see it → act fast, it can be life-threatening.

We’ve officially passed our NDIS re-registration audit! 🎉 It’s a huge milestone, and I’m incredibly privileged to have such an amazing team supporting us through this process.

A special mention to:

Brittnee, our Operations Manager, whose tireless efforts have ensured we’re running smoothly every step of the way.

Erin, our Nurse and Compliance Officer, for her unwavering commitment to providing outstanding resources and safeguards for our clients.

Nel, our Compliance Assistant, for ensuring everything is properly stored and that we stick to our processes to maintain the highest standards.

And to all the other team members who provided additional support during this busy time, allowing management to focus on the audit and ensuring the business continued to run seamlessly. Your dedication does not go unnoticed!

📢 We're Hiring – Temporary Client Coordinator | Brisbane 📢

YOURCARE is looking for a highly organised, experienced Client Coordinator to assist our team during a busy period. This 2-month contract offers 20+ hours per week, with the potential for contract extension or a full-time role based on client growth.

About the Role:
- Office-based in Petrie Terrace, Brisbane (not remote)
- Minimum 20 hours per week, with potential for additional hours
- Must be available for at least one night of on-call per week (allowances paid)
- Immediate start preferred.

What We’re Looking For:
- NDIS compliance experience essential
- PRODA reporting experience
- Supporting clients with Positive Behavioural Support Plans.
- Strong management and leadership experience
- Experience in administrative role
- Ability to implement processes & support operational improvements
- Managing staff performance an client relations
- Someone with strong industry networks and can assist with lead generation
- A team player who is adaptable and able to assist with various tasks as we prepare for our NDIS audit in May.
