This isn’t for everyone.

Because depth-led, trauma-informed work can’t be rushed — and it isn’t meant to be.

But if you feel called to work in a way that is:
Embodied
Relational
Grounded in the nervous system and the living world

Then this is your invitation.

Healing doesn’t begin with insight.

It begins with safety.

In a fast-paced world, it’s easy to approach healing in the same way — trying to think our way through it or rush toward change.

But the body has its own rhythm.

It moves slowly.
It listens for safety.
And it only opens when the conditions are right.

In Somatic Ecotherapy, this becomes the foundation.

We begin with the nervous system — supporting regulation, grounding, and embodied awareness before moving into deeper work.

Because without safety, the system cannot truly open.
And without slowness, healing cannot fully integrate.

If this approach speaks to you, we invite you to join us this Thursday for a live online masterclass with Rob Engels

Healing rarely follows a straight path 🌿

In Somatic Ecotherapy, the journey of healing and belonging is understood through a poetic framework known as The Five Terrains — a living map that guides people from nervous system regulation and embodied safety, through deeper inner work, and into sacred encounter with the living intelligence of the land.

To explore this work more deeply, we invite you to join Rob Engels, founder of Ancient Ground, for a live online masterclass introducing the Five Terrains Framework.

📅 Thursday 2 April
🕐 1–2pm AEDT
📍 Online (Zoom)

In this session you’ll explore:
🌿 How the Five Terrains guide the journey of Somatic Ecotherapy
🌿 Practices for nervous system regulation and embodied safety
🌿 The role of inner parts work and relational depth
🌿 Sacred encounter with the living intelligence of the land

This is a beautiful opportunity to experience the philosophy and practices behind this emerging field of nature-based healing.

Many of us can feel it.

A growing disconnection — from our bodies, from each other, and from the living earth 🌍

Somatic Ecotherapy offers a response to this rupture.

It’s a way of healing in partnership with the land, where nature becomes teacher, mirror and companion in the therapeutic process.

If this work resonates with you, we invite you to join a free online masterclass with Rob Engels, founder of Ancient Ground and guide of the Somatic Ecotherapy Training:

📆 Thursday 2 April
⏰ 1–2pm (Zoom)

In this session you’ll explore:

🌿 Why healing ourselves and healing the Earth are not separate
🌿 How the body becomes the bridge between psyche and place
🌿 The Five Terrains framework at the heart of the Somatic Ecotherapy Training
🌿 Simple nature-connection practices you can begin using immediately

More practitioners are turning to Somatic Ecotherapy — not to replace therapy, but to expand it 🌿

Your work is sound.
Your clients are supported.
Your clinical skills are strong.

And yet, something feels incomplete.

Perhaps insight alone no longer feels sufficient.
Perhaps regulation doesn’t always shift within four walls.
Perhaps you sense that your work wants to widen.

Somatic Ecotherapy integrates:
🌀 Nervous system awareness
🌀 Embodied practice
🌀 Trauma-aware outdoor guiding
🌀 Ecological relationship

This five-month experiential training supports practitioners to work ethically and confidently beyond the room, widening the therapeutic field while maintaining clinical integrity.

Enrolments are now open for our April 29 cohort 👏🏼

If you’d like to explore the training more deeply before deciding, join facilitator Rob Engels for a live webinar on Thursday, April 2 at 1pm AEDT.

⏱️When Narelle applied, she didn’t have everything figured out:

“I didn’t really understand what holistic meant at first… I was just curious.”

Curious about supporting people beyond symptoms.
Curious about something broader.

What she didn’t expect was how much the training would shift her personally -

“It’s got me to really examine life from a much broader perspective… to connect my own body with my mind and my spiritual lens.”

This is what often surprises students.
Holistic counselling training isn’t only academic.

It’s integrative.
It’s developmental.
It changes how you see people — and how you see yourself.

Applications for our March intake are now closing.
This is the final opportunity to secure your place ⏱️

When we asked Philip why he chose holistic counselling, his answer was simple — and powerful:

“Mainstream mental health often focuses strongly on the biochemical model… A holistic approach looks at emotional, physical, spiritual and mental wellbeing — and that really resonated with me.”

For many students, that’s the moment something clicks 💡

They’re not just looking for a qualification.
They’re looking for depth.
For integration.
For training that honours the whole human being.

Holistic counselling invites practitioners to work relationally, ethically and with awareness of emotional, somatic and spiritual dimensions of care.

If this resonates with you, it may be time to explore your next step 🌿

📍 Our March intake is nearly full, with only a few places remaining.

Not sure how counselling placements work — or how you’ll meet your client hours?
You’re not alone 🤎

This is one of the most common questions we hear from people considering counselling training.

Placement is where theory becomes practice. It’s also the part of training that can feel the most daunting — especially if you’re unsure how you’ll find clients or navigate placement requirements.

At Metavision Institute, placements are designed to be supported, structured, and achievable 👏🏼

Our placement model includes two integrated parts:
• External placement organisations, where students gain experience in real-world counselling and wellbeing settings
• The Metavision Student Clinic, which supports students to build their Direct Client Contact (DCC) hours in a supervised, ethical environment

Rather than being expected to source your own clients independently, students are supported to work with real clients through the Student Clinic — building confidence, applying skills learned in class, and meeting clinical hour requirements with guidance and care 🕊️

Together, external placements and the Student Clinic ensure students are not left figuring things out alone as they move from classroom learning into real-world practice.

This supported approach helps reduce the stress many people associate with placement and allows students to focus on learning, development, and confidence-building — not logistics 🌟

📢 Final places remain for our March intake - if you’re considering counselling training this year, now is the time to apply ⏱️
