The Greek philosopher Socrates is credited with the famous statement that "the unexamined life is not worth living". I've been wondering if the over-examined life is a function of the times so the dictum is driving folks slightly balmy or doolally. Or perhaps the over-examined life allows one and all to not examine the one area that everyone appears to fear. The area of adult s*x and eroticism. I don't mean no one examines it, just that no one examines it in a mature methodical thoughtful fact-driven, resource rich, self-loving manner. Most folks I know developed their ideas around s*x amongst uninformed and misinformed teen peers. You would not be seriously surprised to find that these ideas about about as sensible and useful as the other ones that we have long discarded from that era of our lives.
