One of the most powerful things a support worker can give is consistency. Knowing who will arrive, what to expect, and having someone who understands your needs makes a world of difference.

At NAS, we ensure reliability by carefully rostering workers and encouraging long-term matches. Because when trust and routine grow, participants flourish.

Today we mark R U OK? Day across NSW, a national day of action dedicated to reminding us all of the power of a simple question: “Are you OK?”

At National Ability Service, we know how important it is to feel supported, connected, and heard. Checking in with a friend, colleague, or loved one can open the door to meaningful conversations that might change someone’s life.

Remember:
💛 Asking is just the first step.
💛 Listen with care and without judgment.
💛 Encourage action if they need support.
💛 Keep checking in regularly.

Together, we can build a stronger, more compassionate community where no one feels alone.

So today, and every day, let’s pause and ask: “R U OK?”

📢 NDIS Pricing Guide Updated – Here's What It Means for ParticipantsThe NDIS released its latest Pricing Arrangements this July, and while many of the changes aim to improve fairness and transparency, they can be a little tricky to navigate.

Here’s what’s new:

✔️ Hourly rate adjustments for support workers
✔️ Changes to how travel time can be billed
✔️ Updated rules around short-notice cancellations

So what does this mean for YOU? It means you may need to review your current service agreements to make sure pricing is up to date and that you’re getting the full value from your NDIS plan. At NAS, we help participants understand these changes, and we make sure providers are operating ethically and transparently.

📲 DM us to schedule a plan review or pricing Q&A with your Support Coordinator.

Participant Tip: Ask your provider for a detailed invoice or quote, you have the right to understand every charge.
