From a TCM perspective, breath is closely connected to qi, the chest, and the state of the mind.
When stress rises, qi can become stagnant and the breath often changes with it.
The physiological sigh is a simple way to interrupt that pattern. It may help release tension in the chest, guide the qi downward, and settle the shen.
Sometimes small tools like this can make a real difference when used consistently.
