Last month, our St Mary’s aged care home joyfully celebrated its 35th anniversary! 🎉 The day was filled with laughter, dancing, a vibrant concert, and, of course, the cutting of a beautiful celebratory cake. 🎂

We were delighted to welcome back Rob, who performed at St Mary’s during its opening year, along with his daughter Lisa – once a young girl accompanying him, and now a regular performer at our events. Their ongoing connection with our home brought a lovely sense of warmth and nostalgia to the celebration. 💙

Thank you to everyone who contributed to such a memorable celebration. Here’s to the next chapter for St Mary’s. 🤗

This Remembrance Day, our aged care homes came together to honour and remember the incredible service and sacrifice of our Veterans. 🌺 Residents marked the occasion with reflection, stories, poppies and a quiet moment of silence to pay their respects.

At Nanango aged care home, a very special visitor joined the commemoration – ‘Little Man’ the horse trotted in to bring smiles and a gentle sense of connection to our community. 🐴✨

It was a day full of reflection, gratitude and heartfelt remembrance. Lest we forget.

Today on , we pause at 11am to honour the brave men and women who have served and those who gave their lives for our country.

We give thanks to every Veteran and service member for their courage, sacrifice and devotion to protecting the freedoms we cherish today.

May we continue to remember them – not just today, but always.

This week, residents across our aged care homes celebrated the Melbourne Cup Luncheon with fabulous outfits, colourful fascinators and a few friendly sweeps along the way. 🏇✨

At Stretton Gardens Retirement Village, the celebrations continued with delicious individual grazing platters and the crowd-favourite Handicap Race! The room was filled with cheers, laughter, and a wonderful sense of community spirit. 💛

Thank you to all our teams for creating such a fun and festive day for our residents! It truly captured the joy and togetherness that Melbourne Cup brings each year. 🏆

Our talented residents at Nanango aged care home have been busy getting their hands messy with clay and colour – crafting handmade pottery and painting stunning scenic artworks. 🎨

Residents were thrilled with their creations, proudly sharing their artwork and enjoying the laughter that came with each session. 💛 Every brushstroke and swirl of clay tells a story, and together they’ve created something truly special for our Karinya community.

We couldn’t be prouder of our residents and the incredible work they’ve brought to life! 👏🖌️

Our St Anne’s Nursing Home residents were completely absorbed in a lively game of Pokeno last week, so focused that they didn’t even notice the photos being taken! 📸😄

For those who haven’t played before, Pokeno is a fun mix between bingo and poker, where players match playing cards on their boards to win prizes. It’s a great way to keep minds sharp, share a few laughs and enjoy some friendly competition.

It’s safe to say this game was a hit, and we can’t wait for the next round! 🙌

There was extra joy recently at Allora Homestead aged care home, as our Lifestyle Assistant Kerrie celebrated her wedding day with husband Paul – surrounded by residents who mean so much to her. 👩‍❤️‍👨💍

Kerrie first joined our community as a volunteer in June 2023 before becoming part of our team later that year. Since then, she has been known for her warm smile and the joy she brings to every day. “My favourite part of working at here is making our residents smile,” she shared. 🌟

Residents were thrilled to dress up for the occasion and have their photos taken with Kerrie, creating a touching moment that perfectly captured the close bonds shared here.

Congratulations Kerrie and Paul! We wish you a lifetime of love and happiness together. 💖
