Confession time 😅 I am not the girl who says no to birthday cake, I’m not tracking every bite, and I’m definitely not skipping girls night because it doesn’t fit my macros.

I’m “healthy-ish.”

Which, to me, means I prioritise protein, lift weights, protect my gut, support my hormones, and also order the pasta sometimes and laugh about it.

Honestly though, if your version of healthy feels restrictive, stressful, or joy-stealing, it’s not sustainable.

The magic is in the 80/20, the strength without obsession, the discipline without punishment, the flat tummy without the food guilt.

That’s the sweet spot I teach, and it’s the way I live.💪

Somewhere along the way, we were quietly sold the idea that after 40 it’s all downhill, slower metabolism, stubborn weight, worse PMS, broken sleep, and “well… it’s just perimenopause.”

I don’t subscribe to that narrative. 🚫

I’m 41, and I genuinely feel better now than I did at 31.

At 31, I was bloated most days, running on caffeine, waking at 2am, and accepting symptoms as normal because that’s what I’d been told.

I thought that was just part of being a busy woman?🤔

Now, my digestion works, my energy is steady all day long, my hormones feel balanced, and my body feels strong, not because I got lucky, but because I finally learned how my body actually works and started supporting it properly, at the root.🌱

If you’ve ever looked at one of my photos and thought, “She looks so happy,” I want to share something raw with you today…

Over the past few years — especially after my mum got sick — I’ve gone through (many) seasons of crippling anxiety.

And even though I kept smiling, kept showing up, kept being the “strong one”… inside I often felt like I was barely holding it together.💔

But I know I’m not the only one.

So many of us are walking around looking “fine” when we’re actually overwhelmed, exhausted, anxious, or just trying to catch our breath - and social media makes it worse — we see everyone’s highlights and forget that behind every photo is a whole human with struggles, grief, doubts, fears, and messy moments.

This past year though, something shifted for me.

I started leaning into my faith more deeply — getting to know Jesus — and it surprised me how much peace and comfort it brought into the moments I normally feel out of control ❤️

Not a perfect life.

Not a magically anxiety-free brain.

But a peace I can actually feel.

So if you’re going through something, or you’re smiling on the outside while quietly crumbling on the inside… I see you.💙
