HEY. HI. HELLO!

I'm Ava, the face behind Lang Acupuncture Holistic Health. 💁🏻‍♀️ I haven't shown my face on her very much lately as I have been in my:

'I don't want to be caught up in the hustle culture any more, so I'm going to do some deep work to break these patterns for myself' era! 😂

And gosh! It's probably been a few years of deep work coming from having Chronic fatigue to where I am now, having peace in the slower pace of life and having the spring in my step to live for the simpler things. 😌

I’ve been learning that true wellness isn’t about how much you do and how much you achieve, but how deeply you can restore. 🌿

For a long time, I thought slowing down meant I was falling behind — but it’s actually where the healing happens. It’s where your body, mind, and spirit finally get a chance to catch up with each other. Unlearning all the patterns that block you from the pace of nature is where the real magic happens. 💜 In aligning with your true nature and pace (and not that of a heightened nervous system and survival state) do you start to make choices in line with your souls path.

Thank you to all who have remained followers and supporters of Lang Acupuncture and hello to any new followers! I cannot wait to connect with you in person.

Your wellness routine, should not drain you. It should nourish you.

Your wellness routine is not a set routine. Instead it should be adjustable to the season you are in your life. Adjusted to your stress levels, energy levels and overall energetic capacity.

It's when we don't realise the body's need for these adjustments, that our wellness routines contribute to our depletion and burn out.

Are you tuned into knowing when and how to adjust your routines? Do you know your body's cues?

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), being in good health is all about balance. Knowing when your body needs to slow down and when it needs support. When exploring Chinese Medicine, part of the journey is for you to reconnect with the body and understand when the body is asking for you to slow down and how it needs support. It's not just about getting a treatment or getting someone else to fix your problems. It's the mutual interaction of learning, teaching and growth!

When looking at your presenting symptoms holistically, we consider both what is appearing on the surface and the deeper underlying factors contributing to these symptoms.

Sometimes the initial focus is to relieve the surface-level symptoms. However, this does not necessarily mean that true healing is complete. Often, there are deeper imbalances that have developed over time and require ongoing, consistent support to address. These deeper patterns rarely appear suddenly. They are the result of long-term imbalances in the body and mind. Meaningful and lasting change often takes time, especially when conditions are more complex. So when you embark of the holistic path, remember to be patient with the process.

Acupuncture offers an array of tools to support both the surface symptoms and the deeper root causes of imbalance. If you’re ready to begin this process of supporting the restoration of balance, book an acupuncture session and start your journey today.

This recent research that has come out shines a light on the importance of ensuring s***m health is as optimal as possible. It is not uncommon for women to blame themselves for poor fertilisation rates or outcomes when it comes to IVF and ICSI cycles.

In this 2025 study by Torra-Massana etc al., a retrospective cohort study was conducted where 13632 oocyte donation ICSI cycles were included (derived from 7444 controlled ovarian stimulations of 2963 unique donors).

In summary, the study found that of the cases that had poor fertilisation rates, male factor-related factors contributed to 84.1% of those cases.

That just emphasises the importance of ensuring s***m quality is up to standard and that women can't do it on their own!

Stress is often a messenger that most of us just ignore. We brush it aside as “just being busy” or “part of life". This is not how we were meant to live - in a constant state of survival.

While acupuncture may be used to support your journey in supporting your nervous system, a bigger part of the holistic perspective of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is considering how our environment, the food we consume, the people we surround ourselves with and our own boundaries (or lack thereof) as well as our ability to process emotions can contribute to our overall wellbeing.

It's not just needles.

✨ Rewriting the Story of Generational Health ✨

We inherit more than eye color and family recipes.
We also inherit patterns—some that nurture us, and some that weigh us down.

Trauma, stress, illness… these threads can be passed from one generation to the next.

But here’s the truth: the story doesn’t end there.
You have a choice in every moment of your life. Every time you choose rest over burnout, nourishment over neglect, healing over silence,
you are rewriting the narrative. 🌿

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM),☯️ the food we eat, the environment we surround ourselves in, our emotional wellness, the people we are around, the amount of rest we have, the level of stress in our lives are all factors that can contribute to our health. These factors are areas that are often derived and influenced from the generations before us and embedded in our way of being. If that way of being doesn't serve you, you can change it.

When you choose to live differently you are not just healing for yourself, you are planting new seeds for those who come after you. ✨

Every one degree of change will lead you to a new destination provided that you stay consistent.

There will be days where you feel discouraged, especially when you do not see things manifest as quickly as you may have hoped. Keep going. Remember that the most impactful and meaningful shifts in life (and in your health) take time.

Did you know emotions are viewed completely differently in TCM vs. Western medicine? 🌿

In Western medicine, emotions are typically seen as by-products of brain chemistry. They’re often treated as something separate from the body—something “in the mind.”

Rather than “good” or “bad,” emotions in TCM are signs of balance or imbalance. They guide us, just like symptoms do. When we’re stuck in one emotion, it’s a signal that the body may need support.

Here's a perspective of anger and how it may be due to underlying unprocessed grief.
