Missed our Journal Club? Fret not, we have Grand Ward Rounds coming up!

Join us for our first Grand Rounds session featuring Dr Amanda Goh, Haematologist from PAH.

Dr Amanda is a joint trained clinical and laboratory haematologist in Brisbane. She is currently undertaking a clinical fellowship in myeloma and amyloidosis, but all things blood get her going! Dr Amanda is passionate about supporting teaching and has been involved with UQOncology since its origin.

Dr Amanda will be taking us through the most interesting aspects of Haematology—from the fascinating clinical science to the various career pathways available in the field.

Professor Brandon Wainwright AM is the Co-Director of the Children’s Brain Cancer Centre and leads a laboratory within the UQ Diamantina Institute focused on understanding the genetic pathways behind medulloblastoma, a type of brain tumour that occurs predominantly in children.

We’ve all been affected by cancers in some way, whether it’s through a friend, family member or through our own experience. It can feel incredibly isolating and disempowering. That’s why we’re beginning a fundraising series of movie nights as ‘donate what you can’ community events.

We hope that this creates a wonderful opportunity to connect with this lovely community over a great film, knowing that you’ve helped support a vital cause.

No matter the amount, every dollar counts towards the fight against cancer.
