New small group dementia housing – we’d love your input!
At Dementia Care and Accommodation (DCAA), we’re working on a new housing model to provide an alternative care solution to people living with dementia and their families.
Our goal is to deliver small group dementia housing, or ‘memory care homes’, with personalised, specialist care as an alternative to larger aged care facilities.
Located in suburban Brisbane areas, our homes will look like regular residential homes and include resident bedrooms with ensuites, living areas and a separate carer’s room to provide 24/7 care to residents.
We’re currently finalising our house designs and care model and we would love your input.
During late February and early March we’re seeking feedback from family members and people in the aged care sector to help us finalise our house designs and inclusions.
We want to ensure we deliver homes that offer safety, security, comfort and functionality.
We invite you to attend one of our upcoming focus groups to be held at our East Brisbane office.
If you’re interested in attending, please register via https://www.dcaa.com.au/use and nominate your preferred date and time. We'll then be in touch with confirmation and further information.
If you’d like to provide feedback but are not able to attend the focus groups, please let us know and we’ll email you some information and a feedback form to complete.
