The Drama Triangle: Breaking the Cycle 🎭
The Drama Triangle, developed by Stephen Karpman, describes unhealthy relationship dynamics where individuals unconsciously take on one of three roles:
🔺 Victim – Feels powerless and avoids taking responsibility.
🔺 Rescuer – Tries to “save” others, often without being asked.
🔺 Persecutor – Uses power in a negative way, blaming or controlling.
These roles keep us stuck in toxic interactions, preventing true healing and accountability. The good news? We can step out of the triangle by embracing self-awareness, setting boundaries, and responding instead of reacting.
