Feeling satisfied and very proud of this amazing group of women at the today.

When groups are generous and share readily, the connection builds quickly and easily and the group can work deeply, which is what happened today.

group is such a special space, without advice giving or problem solving, just listening, reflecting and receiving, allowing us to heal in relationship.

Nine beautiful women spent all day in easy companionship learning the language of responsibility, ‘I feel, I need, I think…’ which brings us so powerfully into the present moment instead of lost in the abstractions of language.

There was authenticity and agency, resonance and reciprocation, movement from restlessness to a deep inner calm.

Again, I’m so proud of your choice to engage with each other and make the shift from self criticism to self compassion.

😱

She’s helpful and gets things done, but there are other parts of you that deserve to see the light of day too.

The adventurer.
The vulnerable child.
The outrageous goddess…

The good girl was a very creative adjustment to the situation you found yourself in decades ago.

She denied her own needs, worked hard and made sure everyone else was alright.

She’s a gem.

And she will always be there for you, but it’s time you expressed more of you in the world and had more satisfaction and more joy.

Vibrant happiness anyone?
🌻

I spent much of my early life in very negative, painful mental states.

Joy was hard to find

Contentment impossible.

Even though externally I had it all.

Here’s what I know now.

Happiness is not something that only happens if you’re lucky.
You don’t just trip over it one day.
It’s not for the fortunate few.
It doesn’t come from outside circumstances.

You and I have so much agency that goes untapped.

When I realised that I could create happiness within me, it changed my world.

So here are my three tips for creating vibrant happiness,

1. Speak kindly and encouragingly to yourself, don’t let the critic run unchecked.
2. Make an effort every day to spend some quiet time with yourself. Not doing. Being. Meditation is a good start. You don’t always need to be useful - see point 1 😂
3. Practice cultivating a loving heart. It can be learned! It can be perfected! It can be yours. Try the Metta Bhavana or practice of loving kindness.
