🎄 Eye Tip of the Month:
Don’t let bacteria crash your Christmas party! ✨
Clean your makeup brushes before applying your festive glam. 💄🫧

How to clean your brushes:
1️⃣ Wet the bristles with lukewarm water
2️⃣ Massage in a gentle soap or baby shampoo
3️⃣ Rinse until the water runs clear
4️⃣ Gently squeeze out excess water
5️⃣ Lay flat to dry overnight

✨ Fresh brushes = flawless festive looks!

🎄✨ Give the gift of sight this Christmas.
Donate your old glasses at any of our clinics — they’ll be passed on to the Australian Health Humanitarian Aid, helping provide eye care to under-privileged communities.

A small act from you can make a world of difference to someone else’s vision. 👓💛✨

Your cornea is the clear, dome-shaped “window” at the front of the eye. It focuses light, protects the eye from infection and injury, and plays a major role in how sharp and comfortable your vision is every day.

When the cornea becomes swollen, scarred, dry, or irregular, it can quickly affect vision and quality of life. That’s why looking after corneal health is so important — from managing dry eye to treating infections or monitoring early disease.

At The Eye Health Centre, our doctors are here to help with any concerns about your cornea and keep your vision at its best. 👁️💙

If something doesn’t look or feel right, don’t wait — early care makes all the difference.

While pink eye (conjunctivitis) is usually mild, it can spread easily — especially in schools, workplaces, and shared spaces.

✅ Wash your hands
✅ Avoid rubbing your eyes
✅ Don’t share towels, makeup or drops
✅ Seek professional advice if symptoms appear

Keep the smiles, skip the eye infections.

☀️ Eye Tip of the Month:

Always wear your sunnies — especially with Australia’s high UV levels!

UV radiation can cause serious eye damage over time, including:

👁️ Photokeratitis (sunburn of the eye)
🌤️ Pterygium and pinguecula (growths on the eye surface)
🌞 Cataracts
🧴 Eyelid and skin cancers around the eyes

Even on cloudy days, UV rays can still reach your eyes — so keep those sunnies handy year-round. 🕶️

👁️ World Diabetes Day reminds us that diabetes doesn’t just affect your blood sugar, it can affect your vision too.

Diabetic Retinopathy is one of the leading causes of preventable blindness, caused by damage to the tiny blood vessels at the back of the eye.

Often, there are no early warning signs — but regular eye checks can make all the difference.

🔹 If you have diabetes, make sure to have a comprehensive eye exam every 12 months.

Early detection = protected vision. 👁️💙

🌏 Making a global impact, one eye at a time!

Two of our clinical optometrists, P**c Ngo and Clodagh Sinnott, have just returned from Cambodia, where they volunteered their time and skills at outreach eye clinics.

Alongside local teams and international organisations, they helped deliver eye assessments, screenings, and supported surgical triage for communities with limited access to specialist care.

We’re proud to support healthcare professionals who share their expertise beyond the clinic — making eye care more accessible worldwide. 🌏👁️
